Harley, Peter, and Morgan were standing in the kitchen, the smell of sweet fresh blueberries filled the air. Today was the one year anniversary of the day Tony and Steve first adopted them, they wanted to do something special as a way of saying thank you. They let their parents sleep, as they had J.A.R.V.I.S. help them, with the exception of staying extra quiet.

Harley gave Morgan the easy job of mixing the batter there was no way he was trusting a five year old near an oven, Peter's job was to spoon the batter into the molds, since he was clumsy and Harley didn't want him to get hurt. Once the task was completed, Harley set the muffins in the oven and set the timer.

When they were done Harley put cartoons on for Morgan as he and Peter set the table and grabbed the homemade presents they made for Steve and Tony setting them aside. Soon the muffins were done, which meant, ten year old Harley, six year old Peter, and five year old Morgan quietly waltzed towards their parents room.

Cracking open the door slightly, to see both Tony and Steve asleep, they couldn't believe their dad's didn't hear a single thing while they were cooking. They walked further into the room, trying hard not to make any noise, and climbing onto the bed to wake the adults up.

Peter held Morgan on his lap as Harley sat next to him. They smiled at each other before nodding, and Harley began to talk. "Dad, papa wake up." He said, the adults stirred but didn't wake up. Harley looked at his younger brother who smiled.

"Daddy, papa Morgan needs help!" Peter exclaimed, once he said that Tony and Steve bolted up, alert, seeing their children. "Good morning!" The three kids shouted.

Steve chuckled, "Good morning little loves." He said.

Tony sighed and smiled, "Mornin' kiddos." He told the kids.

Morgan climbed towards Tony and tugs at his hand, "You gotta come with us daddy!" Peter went up to Steve and tugged at his arm. All of the kids kept chanting for them to move and finally they agreed. Harley told them to cover their eyes.

They did, and the kids guided them to the kitchen, and brought them in front of the dining room table. The anticipation was practically killing the kids, as they were really excited. Once they came to a stop, Peter spoke, "Okay, open your eyes in three... two... one!"

Steve and Tony uncovered their eyes, and saw the many hours of preparation that went into making the surprise. "Ta da!" They exclaimed, smiling and seeing the looks on their parent's faces. Steve and Tony were stunned, their children planned this whole thing while they were asleep.

"D- do you not like it?" Peter asked.

"No, we love it kiddo, good job! Best surprise ever." Tony said, reassuring Peter with a smile. They all sat down, when Steve asked; "Wait- how did you guys make this stuff?"

"J.A.R.V.I.S. helped us!" Morgan exclaimed.

"Mr. J.A.R.V.I.S. is an adult papa." Peter said, though an artificial intelligence wasn't an actual human being, they let Peter believe J.A.R.V.I.S. was a person in the ceiling. He'll figure out the truth later.

The family had a great time, laughing and smiling but in the back of their minds, Tony and Steve wondered why the kids did this? It wasn't their anniversary, it wasn't any of their birthdays, so what were they celebrating?

"Harley, can we give daddy and papa the present now?" Peter asked his older brother, anxious with excitement.

Harley chuckled at his brother's impatient ways, "Yeah we can Pete." He replied.

Harley got up and grabbed a gift wrapped box, and handed it to his dad's. They looked at each other in confusion, was this a prank? "C'mon dad, open it." Harley said.

Tony and Steve began opening the present, wondering what could possibly be in it and got a lovely surprise, it was a framed collage, with all of their family firsts, their first time going to park, with Tony pushing Peter. Another one was where they were celebrating Morgan's fifth birthday.

Then it clicked, they were celebrating the first year of the kids living with them, even if they did forget, the kids still enjoyed doing what they did. "We wanted to surprise you guys, as a way of saying thank you, for bringing us here and keeping us." Harley said, as his siblings nodded.

Both of the adults began to tear up, Steve held out his arms and the kids ran into them. "We love you guys so much, thank you for agreeing to come home with us." Steve told them, before kissing their foreheads.

Tony nodded, and joined in on the group hug, "Exactly what papa said." He replied.

"We love you both too." They said in unison. (Now that was wholesome, it makes up for the last chapter huh?)
