Through the cold emptiness of New York City, a bunch of Kraang droids are patrolling the streets around every corner on the ground and several giant Kraang robots are scanning the city buildings in the air. Rhona watched the whole thing from the closed window inside her hideout with her partner Zelena, who was sitting on the empty table in boredom.

"Rhona, this is ridiculous! It's been months in this stupid alien invasion. There's gotta be a way for us to get out of this city!" Zelena complained frustratingly. "We gotta got to get out of here! All of this hiding is getting us absolutely nowhere!"

"You're right, Zelena." Rhona agreed. "But since there's no way out, it's nearly impossible to escape since the city is now guarded by the Kraang and I refuse to turn into a mutant freak if we get caught by those aliens!"

"So, what's the plan?" Zelena asked.

"Shade is the only one who can get us out of the city since she did make her alliance to the Kraang along with the Shredder." Rhona replied with a sly smile. "All we have to do is make a deal with her."

"Brilliant." Zelena grinned as she liked the sound of the plan. "But what could Shade possibly want?"

"Simple. She wants him." Rhona said, holding a black and white picture of Kuro in his mage form. "We just have to find and deliver her son, Kuro, to her."

"Wait a minute. Wasn't he mutated by the same stuff that makes those other mutants in this city?" Zelena questioned.

"Yes." Rhona replied. "Shade has been looking for him ever since that tragic accident."

"So, you're saying that we can use him as a chance to get out of the city?" Zelena said cautiously.

"Like Lady Shade will have a choice." Rhona smiled darkly.

In the abandoned subway car, Sage swept the entire wide floor with a broom and Talia waved her hand back and forth with a grabbing shape to straighten up their new temporary home.

"Looking good, mother." Talia commented enthusiastically. "Real soon this place will feel like a real home, but we'll add a few new adjustments. So, what do you think?"

Sage stopped sweeping and sighed heavily that caught Talia's attention. Talia knew that her mother wasn't completely focus because she has something in her mind.

"Are you okay, mother?" Talia asked as she walked closer to Saldana.

"Oh, forgive me, Talia. My thoughts are lost in space again." Sage said simply. "It's very dangerous out there in the city and your sisters have been gone for a while now."

Meanwhile, Ariana was working on a perfect retromutagen in the back of the subway car where she had set up a lab for scientific expertise. Her new goal was to transform Kuro and other mutagen-affected people back to normal with a complete success. She has only started working on the batch recently while trying to make some alterations for the antidote. Ezra was creating a new potion on the cauldron in the subway car while Norbit was observing Ezra's work.

"I feel like we should try oak pane." Ezra said.

Norbit handed him the oak pane and Ezra dropped it in the cauldron, causing the potion to explode into dust in front of their faces.

"Maybe it was woven water." Ezra coughed.

"Oh, my." Ariana gasped. "Here use this."

Ariana summoned two towels for Ezra and Norbit to help clean their faces.
