Emma and Alyssa had been dating for a month now. Emma had never fell so hard for a girl before in her life or any girl for that matter. Emma loves Alyssa being with her everyday, seeing her smile.
It's been a month and they haven't said the words I love you yet. Emma figured that today was the day she was going to tell Alyssa she loved her, she wanted to shout it from the rooftops
But she couldn't Alyssa wasn't out yet and even if she was.. they lived in Indiana in a small really really REALLY faith centered town Emma had gotten so much hate already for just being out she couldn't subject Alyssa to that kind of pain.
So if not from a rooftop then Emma's room in her Nan's house would have to do to confess her love for Alyssa.
Alyssa was sitting on Emma's bed, Emma was sitting on the floor holding her guitar she was nervous, butterfly's were having a rave in her stomach what if Alyssa didn't feel the same way? what if this freaks her out?
What if she wants nothing to do with me? Emma felt a thud in her gut Alyssa wouldn't leave her, Would she?
"Em are you ok? your look like your going to throw up" Alyssa concerned
Emma wiped her sweaty hands on her jeans. "i'm good" she said shakily
"would it be ok if I sing to you?"
Alyssa beamed "of course! You konw I love it when you sing"
Emma took a deep breath she looked over at her girlfriend. "Emma if your not comfortable with this you don't have too-
"no, I want too sorry I haven't sang to anyone in a while. You konw the album jagged little pill?"
"I LOVE jagged little pill"
"well this is one of there songs" Emma picked the first few notes on her guitar. Alyssa let out a happy squeal she loved listing to Emma sing to her.
well here I go Emma thought to herself.
"I had no choice but to hear you

I'm not used to liking that Emma looked at Alyssa when she sang that, Alyssa blushed and smiled.

Emma took a breath.

Emma knew that looking at Alyssa now would fluster her and she wouldn't be able to finish so she kept on going.

I am aware now" Emma looked at her when she sang that her heart and her soul was in the song that she sang and in this moment she didn't care who heard it she wanted the hole wrold to konw that she was in love with a beautiful girl.

Emma finished the song and put her guitar down she was blushing hard so was Alyssa.
"I konw sounds crazy but I think I love you" Emma looked at her "oh god, your not saying anything was it too soon? it was too soon wasn't it?. Just please say something"
"Iv'e never felt about anybody the way I feel about you." Alyssa said "I love you so much it scares me, I never knew I could feel this good"
Emma looked up at her. "I love you Emma Nolan"
Emma smiled at her "I was so worried you wouldn't feel the same way" Alyssa grabbed Emma by the shirt and kiss her softly the kind of kiss that says I'm here don't worry I love you
Alyssa pulled back. "Emma?"
"hm?'
Alyssa smiled slyly "You konw your really cute when you get flustered" Emma blushed Alyssa felt her cheeks heat up and leaned in for more kisses.
So I came up with this idea a few days ago as I was listing the album jagged little pill and I just had this idea of Emma telling Alyssa "I love you" through this song because Emma's music is her way of expressing herself when she doesn't konw what to say and in general it just helps her get what she's feeling out. Also I'm taking a two week break on this for the holidays i'm not abandoning this fic i'm just taking some time off to spend with my family and friends But I will be Back in the start of the new year! until then happy holidays have a safe and healthy break!
