After a not so long drive, Detective Cameron Lee parked the car in front of a house where some security personnel are surrounding the area. Devius got out of the vehicle and examined the place. It wasn't that big but it wasn't small either. It's just fine for a family but he knows that only one person is currently living here.

"Wow, you really cared for the kid, senior." Devius uttered as he looked at the number of security.

"It's not just me. Parker also asked some of his men to give an eye." He explained as he closed the door, Devius nodded.

"Detective Lee! Detective Lee!" As soon as Seuk Tae saw them, he quickly ran towards them and hugged Cameron.

"Easy there, young man. How was your first night here?" Cameron asked.

Seuk Tae smiled. "I feel safe here, I'm not that scared anymore. Thank you so much, Detective Lee." He sincerely said.

Cameron ruffled his hair and slightly smiled. Devius was just watching them, they looked like brothers. He also noticed that Cameron treats the kid with care. He's not as hard as how he treats the others when he's with Seuk Tae, despite the fact that they have just known each other for quite some time. He doesn't know why but Seuk Tae's innocent aura gives him a strange feeling. Looking at his angel-like face gives him the thought that there's something behind hidden.

It's not that he's judging the kid, it's just how he felt. He couldn't tell why he thinks that something about that innocent-looking kid is suspicious. Whenever their eyes met, Seuk Tae would eventually look away as if there's something in his eyes that he doesn't want Devius to see.

"Officer Chad, you're here too? I'm happy to see you." Seuk Tae turned to him, smiling.

He nodded his head. "We're just here to check on you. Glad you're fine." He said.

"Yes, I'm doing fine here, there's nothing to worry about." He confirmed with a smile but there's that feeling again, like something was off with the kid.

Devius just nodded and smiled. He really doesn't trust the kid and he doesn't know why. There's really something that kept bothering him every time he sees him. His smile, the way he talks, the way he look at him and especially the way he looks at Cameron, there's something he can't trust.

Devius usually deals with criminals. With people who would lie flat in front of him even if he already showed the evidence. He faced people who would eventually confessed to their crimes. Yet he has never had that feeling. Devius felt like every time they are around Seuk Tae, someone's eyes where pinned on them.

'Devius Chad, aren't you just being stressed with the case?' He asked himself but he also couldn't answer it, of course.

"Hey, what's on your mind? You've been spacing out since we came to visit Seuk Tae." Detective Lee asked while driving.

It's been ten minutes since they left the place but his mind is still thinking about what could be the reason why he felt that way towards Gong Seuk Tae. It's not like the kid could be a threat. Adding the fact that he's really angel-like and innocent. He somehow feels guilty of the way he feels.

"Nothing. I'm just thinking about the case we're investigating." He lied.

"What are you thinking?" Cameron asked again as he stopped the car when they reached the headquarters.

"I'm trying to figure out who will he victimised next. Also, I wanted to know what is his motives towards the crime he's commiting." He stated as they both walk inside.

"We'll figure it out. Let's go to Chief Simon's office." Detective Lee gestured, Devius followed.

They knocked first before opening the door and entering the room. Chief Simon was busy unfolding some documents. She looked so buried into her thoughts while reading the texts. Her face seem stressed and her eyes are sleepless. She must have not slept the whole night because of the redness of her eyes.

"Good morning, Chief." Both men greeted respectfully.

Their superior turned her head up and smiled to them. "I wish I could say the same. My morning isn't that good." She partially joked.

"Chief, you also needs to rest. You can't focus if you're restless." Officer Chad showed his concern.

"He's right. You often ask me to rest but it's you who needs it right now, Chief." Cameron seconded.

"It's fine, don't worry about me. How's the investigation going?" She asked while offering them a sit.

Cameron sighed and shook his head. "We still have no idea. We're going to the latest crime scene and update you after."

"This one is pretty tough and cunning." Chief Simon half-heartedly joked.

"You're right, Chief. This bastard is cunning, his moves are unpredictable. We can't figure out what will he do next or who will he target next. All we can do is alert everyone about him." Detective Lee bit his lower lip, brushing his hair with his fingers.

"But wait..." The two looked at Officer Chad, waiting for what he's going to say. "...how did you guys know that the culprit is a man?"

Cameron rolled his eyes. "The victim's injuries are caused by a man's strength according to the autopsy report." He simply answered.

"Also, most of the victims' families said they saw a man's figure lurking at their surroundings. Even Parker's source said there's a great possibility that it's a man." Chief Simon added.

"Makes sense. Then, what should we do next?" Officer Chad asked.

Chief Simon stood up and stretched her arms. "For now, the only thing we could do is prepare for the next move of the culprit. If we need to patrol around every single minute, we'll do that." Her voice sounds stressed too. She then turned to her juniors. "As for the both of you, just focus on the investigation and make sure to catch the culprit and send him to prison. A sinner must pay for his sins."

Devius Chad saluted. "Got that."

After discussing some things, Devius and Cameron decided to head out to the lastest crime scene, Miranda Jameswood's place, hoping they could find some important information there. But they failed, so they went to the forest where Eunice Oscars' body was found.

"The culprit must have planned everything a long time ago. He doesn't leave any evidence or traces. No foot prints, finger prints or even any piece of DNA." Devius complained while busy looking around.

"You may be right. I've been a detective for many years and all serial killers leave something that will lead the authorities to find them but this one, all his moves are neat and clear. He didn't leave any traces at all, like you said." Cameron agreed.

They both sighed and continued walking, carefully searching the area. It's better now because it's day time and bring, unlike when they first went when it's night.

"But, there must be something he kept from his victims." Whispered Officer Chad while walking.

Cameron looked at him. "Like a trophy?"

"Yeah, don't all serial killers do that?"

"Really? I think it only applies on psychopath killers."

"Trust me, Detective Lee, the culprit must have taken something from all his victims. I've read in a book once that all murderers keeps something that serves as their trophy from their victims." Devius said while thinking deeply.

"If you're right, that could serve as our clue. Once we've found out what's missing from the victims, we'll have at least some information." Detective Lee seemed to be encouraged because of Devius' idea.

They spent almost the whole day roaming around the forest. Figuring out about where could have been the escape path of culprit and the hard object that must have killed Eunice Oscars but they didn't find anything. Even the trace of blood is limited to where she was killed and to where her body was found. Aside from those, there wasn't any traces. But because of what Officer Chad had said about the so-called trophy, he felt more encouraged to do the investigation.
