"We can keep him!" I squeeze Mattheo's hand.

Mattheo laughs, "Yes Angel, we can keep him."

We went to a veterinarian clinic today and had the dog checked for a chip to find out if he had owners- He doesn't and we can keep him!

"Now we need to think of names!" I try not to jump with excitement as we walk back to Zanders house.

'You're cute." Mattheo smiled at me.

"I'm happy." I smiled back at him.

For a while I thought I would never feel like this again.

"I'm happy too." Mattheo said.

"Good." I watched the dog as he walked a little bit in front of us, Mattheo is holding him by his leash.

"What's making you so happy?" Mattheo asked.

"You." I told him, squeezing his hand lightly.

"And the dog?" Mattheo smirked at me.

I bit my lip, "And the dog." I whispered.

"Buddy?" Mattheo suggested.

"Meh." I shrugged.

"Scout?"

"No." I pet the dog and tried to think of names.

"Max?" Zander suggested, I laughed without thinking.

"What's wrong with Max?" Zander asked, I pinched my eyes shut.

"I knew a guy named Max." I said vaguely.

"Did you fuck a guy named Max?" Mattheo leans into my neck and whispers in my ear.

"No." I laugh.

"I just knew a guy named Max and I don't want to name my dog after someone I knew." I said.

I took a hold of the dog by his big cheeks, "How about Bear." I smiled at the dog.

"I like Bear." Mattheo said.

"Bear." I said to the dog, he tilted his head.

"He loves it!" I jumped with excitement.

Mattheo laughed.

He grabbed my thigh and gave it a squeeze, My smile brightening as I looked at him.

I hid under the blankets with Mattheo as Bear dug at them.

Mattheo and I tried to escape to the bedroom for some alone time but Bear didn't want to be left alone.

Bear found his way under the blanket with us.
