This is a short chapter!

Sorryy. x

It's Aiden.

It's fucking Aiden.

"Put Austin on." I hiss, feeling the anger boil up. But I knew the anger would just get me in trouble.

He clicks his tongue in disapproval. "One more remark like that and he'll be gone."

"I'm. I'm sorry." I plead into the phone.

"Look out your window." He demands.

"What? No."

The click of gun being loaded comes from the other end, and I fly out of bed and approach the windows.

I feel my breath speed up rapidly.

Holy shit.

With all the fear inside me, I feel the adrenaline kick in and open the curtain.

No ones there.

The receiver clicks and the recorded voice says,

'The other line has been disconnected.'

I set the phone down on the table and run my fingers through my hair, closing my eyes.

What just happened?

Where they even here?

Well yes, I had heard tapping.

They were here.

Drawing myself from thought I take a deep breath and look out the window.

No one.

I was on the second floor, how would they have got up here?

I examine the window closer,

Finger prints.

Jesus Christ.

I look at the other windows, as I get to the last I see a blue paper on the outside and it has something on it.

Without thinking I unlock the window and open it.

Your so fucking stupid Charlotte.

Staring at the paper, I slip my hand out and grasp it pulling it in, shutting and locking the window in one swift motion.

Adrenaline still runs through my veins, pumping quickly and harshly.

I unfold the paper with my shaky hands and scan the handwriting,

'This was a warning.'
