Forty-Sixth Poem: My Dream

I have liked you

For a while now

Feelings slowly getting stronger

You will say

That it's just a crush

Yet it just hurts so much

To know

That you are in his arms now

That you are no longer there

My heart is breaking

No way of fixing

Now I am all alone

And I stare up at my ceiling

Thinking of you

All that I could tell you

Was that I wish you the best

While in the back of my mind

You will always be mine

In my dreams

I hold you tight

In my dreams

We are alright

Cause in my dreams

You are mine

But reality has struck

For you are no longer there

You are in someone else's arms

They will love you

Like I wish I could

I feel like a mirror

Shattered glass

My heart can't take any more

So I go to sleep

Dream of you

In my dreams

I hold you tight

In my dreams

I'll love you till the end

Just you wait

When he can't fall through

I'll be there

Around the bend

Arms open wide

I will be there

Through and through

It all

So for now

I will keep the pain at bay

For the sun will sink

And I will fall asleep

Because

In my dreams

You're mine.
