I was scrolling

Old and New Pictures

I used to hate it

I couldn't see your face

Four years running

And tears are finally going dry

I stared at your face

Closed my eyes and went back

Memories escaping

But I didn't feel any pain

For the first time in a long time

There was no tightness in my chest

I softly closed the door on you

After slamming it over and over again

I remember your laugh

A little of your voice

The kisses we shared

The feel of your hand

My eyes are dry

My heart is mended

Found someone new

Finally over you

I hope you are well

I don't want the bad to come of you

I hope the mess you made

You cleared it up fine

You made your bed

Now you have to sleep in its lies

There's still a part of me that will always bear your name

But the past is the past

I hold the hand of my future

I have to let you go

To move forward

I didn't flinch

I didn't cry

I didn't scream out asking why

I hope you are fine

Maybe in time

If you haven't already
