Beneath my feet

The grass is green

Above my head

The sky is blue

All around me are the prettiest colors

But all I ever see is gray

Since you went away

January is known for beginnings

Now it is the month of Mourn

For the end of the beginning

Was the end of you

May comes around

Halfway through the year

We used to celebrate

May flowers always set the mood

Now I lay May flowers on you

Summer comes and goes

The leaves fall down

Red Orange and yellow

So warm so bright

But all I see is gray

Like the clouds that come

Before a storm

Winter comes and it is all white

People smiling

People singing

I don't care

For next year I do it all again

January a time for new beginnings

Now the month of mourn

May comes around

For the second time again

May flowers rested on your bed

This time was different

I still cried

But the may flowers

Colors appeared

I saw a little less gray

As I lay next to your grave

Summer comes barreling through

For the first time in forever, I saw the sky turn Blue

I saw the grass be green

And when fall rolled around

I saw the red, orange, and yellow

I may not be a hundred percent

I know I never will

But each year

I will send you May flowers

So I can see the colors once again
