A/N The song's translation really fits the chapter.

Pony wrapped his arms around me as we settled in for the night. He's my favorite brother. We're both dreamers. That was the last thing I thought of before sleep pulled me down.

"Johnny?" I said. "Where are you going."

"Ssh. We'll need food."

"Let me come with you."

"Go back to sleep Tess." I laid down again. I felt Johnny kiss my forehead. Other than Pony, I'm closest to Johnny. I must've fallen back asleep, because the next thing I knew, Pony was shaking me awake.

"Tess, Johnny bought food. Let's see what he got."

"I'm up. I'm up." I said, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Hey Tess." said Johnny, "Come see what I got." He takes out packs of bologna. There's a loaf of bread as well, but it's mostly bologna. He takes out a book.

"Gone With the Wind? How'd you pick it?" Pony asked. He sounded real excited.

"I remember you talked about it lots. We'll have lots of free time, so you and Tess could read it aloud."

"Cool." Johnny gently shook Evelyn.

"Evelyn, come on, wake up. It's time for breakfast." I wake up Maria. Something about her is different. Other than the fact that I can't hear her thoughts. Or Evelyn's for that matter. I thought it had something to do with the gang pretty much being family, but now I'm not so sure. It's strange, but I'm too hungry to think about that now.

"I want bread." I said.

"I'll take bread too. I hate bologna, so that's the last thing I'll eat." said Maria.

"We also need to do something about our hair." Johnny held up a bottle of hydrogen peroxide.

"Not my hair!" Pony said. He worries about his hair too much. I spend less time on my hair than Pony does.

"Come on man. They're gonna post our descriptions. We can't match them."

"Pony, it's just hair. It'll grow back." I said, "Stop being such a baby."

"Oh, alright. But I want Tess to do it. She's less likely to make it look ugly."

"Let's go." I said, " I'm not getting hair on my switch, so we're using Johnny's." I hold out my hand. He gives me his switch. I start sawing at Pony's hair.

"Ow! Stop pulling so hard."

"This would be a lot easier with scissors." I muttered. The first chunk of hair falls.

"This just got real." Johnny whispered. I finish cutting Pony's hair, then I bleach it.

"Tess, can you cut mine. My skin's to dark for me to have light hair, so cutting it'll have to be enough."

"Sure, Johnny." When I cut his hair, he doesn't complain once.

"Your turn Tess!" Pony said, "I'll cut it for you."

"You touch my hair, and you're dead." I growled.

"You want to look like your description?"

"I can just put my hair up like this." I take out a couple bobby pins and a hair tie, and pin my hair into a braided crown.
