Dallas Winston. Master thief. Fuzz record a mile long. Started at the age of 10. Yeah, that's me. Except I don't know if I want to be known like that. Ever since Maria came back, I've been thinking of getting a job. Yeah, a job. Dallas Winston doesn't do "jobs." But I've actually been thinking about that. Maria deserves a good life. A better life than mine. A voice interrupted my thoughts.

"It's gross that you're eating animals. You do realize you could mess up the Timeline to Extinction?" Linh said. Sophie and Fitz burst out laughing. "What? They could." These people are freaking me out. Like seriously, who thinks about extinction of other species? I'm busy worrying about my own survival. And, I guess Maria's too.

"It's one of the excuses I gave Mr. Forkle when I had to get him on our side. That they shouldn't be left to die here, just because they're not perfect. I likened the greasers to a species." said Sophie. A species? What is that girl talking about. She is real freaky. But then again, I can snap my fingers while I'm thinking about an object and it'll appear in my hands. Also, I can disappear. It's gotten me out of some tight spots with the fuzz before.

"What! You likened us to a species?" Steve shouted.

"Die?" Two-Bit shouted.

"Who's Mr. Forkle?" Soda asked. They are good at trying to shout over each other.

"I was desperate to rescue you. Do you want to be killed because you've looked like you're in your mid-thirties for the past thirty or hundred years? Mr. Forkle is a very influential elf." Sophie said.

"Wait! Wasn't Mr. Forkle the one you said died?" I asked.

"So you were paying attention. Dallas Winston, Conjurer and Vanisher, Mr. Forkle is dead, but also alive, but at the same time, dead and alive." Sophie said. I could see the smug grin on her face. She and I are going to fight. I'll just have to make sure that I come out on top.

"Could you explain that? Clearly?" I said.

"What she means, is Mr. Forkle had a twin. They were genetically identical. At the time, multiple births were very frowned upon. They still are, but thanks to Sophie's presence, and unique point of view, certain elves are getting over their prejudice. Mr. Forkle and his twin would share an identity. Only one of them would leave the house at a time. When they grew up, they decided the best thing to do would be to take on extra identities, more characters. He's revealed three to us. Mr. Forkle's twin died at Lumenaria, so Mr. Forkle basically lost his other half. He's trying to cope. We're all trying to cope." Linh said.

"Thanks for clearing up Sophie's tangled web of a story." Isaid.

"It wasn't as confusing as an ogre's mind, a gnome's mind, Prentice's broken mind, or Alden's broken mind. Those were confusing." Sophie said.

"Stop bickering." Tam said, as his shadow grew larger, and crossed Sophie's, Linh's and Fitz's shadows.

"Whoa. Shadow tricks." Two-Bit said. Tam has impressive control over the shadows. It's cool, but he can't vanish.
