Chapter 18 "Comfort"

"I can't believe you." You sighed as you walked beside your brother that had just appeared down the wooded path

"I'm sorry.. but I can explain." He said pleading

You spin on your feet and look at him raising a eyebrow

"Yeah?" He nods shyly

"Then start." He takes a deep breath his shaking eyes looking into yours

"I... I lost my memories after the ship wreck, that's why I couldn't come to you sooner." Your eyes widen feeling your heart sink

He.. forgot me? All this time? When I was pleading for him to come back needing him next to me.. he just forgot? I was struggling alone?

"How?" You ask blatantly, he tilts his head in confusion

"How did you remember then.." you say your eyes lining with tears

He puts his hens on your shoulder worried, but he couldn't help but to feel crushed seeing you in this state because of him.

"I remembered.. because I saw you." He answered truthfully

You perk your head when he suddenly pulls out a folded photo and he unfolds it with care

He hands it to you and you almost end up breaking down at the sight

It was a old photo of you, him and your parents.

He had this? This whole time?

"I-.." you couldn't say anything, you missed your family so much and the fact your brother was here this whole time... it was relief masked with sadness.

It was almost as if your body moved on its own, you wrap your arms around him tightly feeling your tears fall soaking his shirt. He responded immediately hugging you eight the same love.

"Are-" he stopped when he saw the sight

You turn you head a little and see Taehyung there with his hands in his pockets looking at you with no expression

"Sorry~ " he muttered softly biting his lip

You smile weakly, you want to ask more to Jin, ask him where he's been hiding. When did he find out. But Jin pulled away softly and carefully like you would break if he did more.

"It's okay, thank you for letting me talk to her." He smiles at you with the smile you remember so well

You felt your body get shivers as the cold air swooped around you again.

"I just wanted to ask if you are hungry, Hyungs are making something." He asked shyly still feeling bad that he ruined your moment with your brother

Jin nodded looking at you "Are you hungry Y/n-ah?" He asked sweetly

You nod looking back at Taehyung with soft eyes seeing his eyes glint with light from the sunset.

It's been a few days since you met Jin again, and it's been one of the best few days of your life. You have been hanging around eachother talking and laughing like you used to.

You've been staying with bangtan since, you haven't thought of going back yet, for some reason you felt more happy thinking about staying here. And the rest said it's okay even if they gave you glares, but one was more against it than others, and that was of course.
