•Tasha's POV•

2am.

I sighed as I rolled over in bed, trying desperately to make my mind shut up, but no matter what I tried, my mind drifted to Connor.

Connor and I had been getting closer the past few weeks. It started with subtle things, like glances that turned into smiling, and gentle touches, like Connor would grab my arm or gently brush against my skin, and sometimes if I was feeling confident I'd hold his hand.

I'm in love with an Android for fuck sakes.

Part of me was afraid, not only because the odds of Connor ever having feelings for me was slim, but because Connor was showing more signs of deviancy each day, and if CyberLife found out...

I sighed as I stood up, walking over to the kitchen as I poured myself a glass of chocolate milk. There was no point in dwelling on possible scenarios. While Connor may never love me, all I can do is enjoy the time I do spend with that goofball.

I jumped slightly when I heard the doorbell rink, and a soft knocking against the door.

I yawned as I walked to the door, opening it slightly. My eyebrows raised as I was met with the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"Connor?" I asked with confusion. I slowly opened the door fully to see him standing there with his hands behind his back, Hank visibly sitting in the car behind him.

"Hello Tasha." Connor greeted me with a smile, his brown eyes glowing in the moonlight. "I'm sorry about the lateness of our arrival, but there's a new incident we must investigate."

As he spoke I couldn't help but admire his beautiful eyes, finding myself gazing into them for longer than I probably should have. "Great! I wasn't sleeping anyways." I grinned, then let out a small giggle as I realized I was still in my pyjamas. "I should probably change. Why don't you come in? I shouldn't be long."

"I'd like that." Connor smiled softly as he stepped behind me into the kitchen.

"I know you don't have to eat or drink or whatever but help yourself to anything you'd like." I gave him a small smile before walking into my bedroom, deciding to wear one of my nicer tank tops and a pair of jean shorts.

When I came out into the kitchen Connor had poured himself a glass of chocolate milk, causing me to grin and blush. "I didn't think you'd actually listen." I teased, walking past him to grab my own glass.

Connor looked up from his glass, staring at me for a moment before speaking. "It's your favorite, right?"

I blushed at the mention, "Yeah... how did you know?"

Connor looked away from me, taking a sip of his drink. "I asked Hank what your favorite things were." He replied honestly, causing me to blush.

"Oh." I replied, smiling slightly, "I'm not that interesting, unfortunately."

I giggled as I noticed he had gotten milk above his lip. For such a perfect specimen, he was rather awkward and adorable — though I'd never say that to his face. I slowly leaned forward, wiping the milk off, allowing myself a moment to admire his face up close before letting him go and turning back towards my drink — no doubt blushing like an idiot.

A few short moments later Connor stood up from his seat, walking past me to set his cup in the sink.

I felt my heart beat faster as I moved closer to him, setting my own cup into the sink. I glanced up at him, noticing he was staring right at me, not looking away when I caught his glance.

I smiled softly at him

I smiled softly at him. "Careful, Connor. One might think you're starting to feel something for me." I giggled, smiling up at him flirtatiously, getting lost in his brown eyes. He moved so he was in front of me, his hands on either side of my body on the sink, effectively keeping me from moving away.

"Your favorite colour is purple," Connor leaned in closer to me, making my breath hitch in my throat. "You have three cats. You have two tattoos. You love music..."

Connor leaned in so his lips brushed the bottom of my ear, causing me to let out a quiet breath. He softly sniffed the side of my neck, smiling against me. "It's your favorite perfume."

"You... you couldn't have learned all of that from Hank." I replied quietly, trying to ignore the thumping of my heart.

Connor pulled back from me, his brown eyes gazing down into my green ones. "I pay attention."

We stood there in silence for a moment, just staring at each other. I couldn't help but admire how much Connor had changed since I met him. Before he wouldn't have been nearly as open, but now —

"You two about done?"

I looked behind Connor, groaning when I saw Hank looking at us with his arms folded disapprovingly, though he had a small smirk on his face. He was clearly drunk, and looked just pissed off to be here.

"How long have you been standing there, you creep?" I asked as Connor removed his hands so I could walk around him.

"Long enough," Hank replied his eyes narrowed. "Can we get this over with? You two can make out later."

I opened my mouth to speak, but decided against it, trudging out to the car with little care when I bumped into Hank's shoulder just to piss him off more.

Hank got into the back seat, leaving me to sit in the passenger seat with Connor driving. I bit my lip nervously as I stared out the window, trying to ignore how hot my body still felt as Connor glanced at me every so often.
