A/n: Hey my dudes! It's been awhile, but I decided that the best thing I could ask for my birthday is votes and comments from you, and knowing that I (finally) gave you another chapter. So feel free to make my sweet-sixteen even better by leaving a vote or comment. I love you guys <3.

Also I take my drivers test in eight days. I hope I pass my dudes. For you guys that can already drive, do I have anything to worry about? I'm just so nervous.

So here's the first of the chapters I wrote last night at like midnight.

Word count- 1662 words.

Enjoy~

All Lance wanted to do was impress the young (your/house) girl. She was a year younger than him, but in most of his classes since classes from her own age were too easy for her.

He's had many times to see this, such as when the Professor had them correct each other's essays by hand because he thought they started to rely too much on magic to do anything. Somehow she had managed to make a boring history topic into something exciting. Passion so bold it was just as good as the writing and grammar. He couldn't find anything to correct, so he ending up writing, 'you're cute. ~ Lance' on the paper.

The moment the Professor had the papers back he threw them away, telling the students that it was just practice, "because they needed it."

The next time Lance tried to impress her was during Defense Against the Dark Arts. They were going over the topic of dueling, and when Professor Kolivan had asked for volunteers Lance immediately raised his hand. Kolivan paired him with Keith, who quickly managed to use a temporary binding spell and make Lance fall onto his face.

Another time was during Herbology with Professor Ryner. He tried to tend to one of the plants he wasn't supposed to, and ended up going to he infirmary when the venomous plant bit his hand.

It was now, in class, when he raised his hand to answer the question to the Professors question, when he completely butchered it, causing the whole class to erupt in a fit of laughter. He felt hopeless. What was he supposed to do to catch her attention—without making a fool of himself?

"You'll be partnering up for an assignment," The potions teacher, Professor Shirogane, said. "I already assigned them for you..."

Lance stared down at his desk; he was still bummed from failing at another attempt to get her to notice him. It was very unlike him, usually he would just walk up to any girl at start flirting, but with her... he just found himself getting nervous at the thought of it. She was quiet and shy, usually keeping to herself. He didn't know anything about her, what to say to her.

"...Lance and (y/n)." Lance immediately perked up. Did the Professor just say what he thought he had said?

A moment later the class was getting up from their desks and going towards their partner, finding somewhere to get situated and to start the project. His eyes immediately shot in the direction of her desk—the one in the far left corner. She was already up, heading in his direction. He couldn't help but feel a swell of happiness at the fact that she knew who he was.

"Lance, right?" (Y/n) asked. Her arms were crossed over the stack of books and supplies she held to her chest. Lance thought it was adorable.

"Y-yeah," he stuttered, internally slapping himself.

(Y/n) took a seat next to him, and Lance couldn't help but tense a bit at the action. She turned to look at him as she started talking. It was the closest she had ever been to him, and with that close proximity he could see the color in her eyes. They were (e/c) and shone brightly as she spoke. Spoke—
