CHAPTER 52

"I can't believe you and Jude are like... friends again!" Ella says looking down at her phone while she sits on my bed with me.
"Why?" I ask looking over to her while I doodle in my sketchbook.
"I don't know, it's been so long," she shrugs.
It was about a week past Christmas Day, me and Jude have been talking... like friends. It was just a pure friendship, he definitely didn't like me anymore and I have Isaac, who has been talking to me daily and calling daily. I liked it a lot.
"Yeah, but it's nice," I shrug. "He's cool, plus he's going to UCLA, why wouldn't I?"
"I don't know," she says again. "I always thought he was a dweeb in middle school," she laughs.
"Yeah, I know you did," I laugh with her. "I think you would find him hot now."
"Really?" She asks. "He doesn't look like he did in middle school?"
"Completely different," I reply. "Completely your style also."
"Really!?" She sits up now. "Show me!"
"Go on his Instagram," I tell her and she's immediately typing on her phone. "You boy crazy whore."
"Hey!" She laughs. "He's private."
"Go on mine," I pass her my phone and she goes onto it while I continue to doodle. It was just a hobbit I had.
"Holy shit," she says. "He's a different person."
"Yeah dude," I nod.
"Is he still annoying?" She asks. "Like you can't look like that and be annoying."
"What?" I laugh.
"Just saying," she shrugs.
"He's kind of the same," I admit.
"So he is annoying then!" She groans. "That sucks," she adds.
"What was wrong with him before?" I ask.
"I don't know, we just never got along," she passes me my phone back.
"I know that, but why?" I ask.
"Sometimes there are just people you don't find great, he was that person," she tells me and I laugh shaking my head.
"Okay, fair enough," I nod. "You might think he's better now."
  "Eh," she shrugs.
  "You're annoying," I laugh.
  "Well I doubt he'd like me, I'm even more judgemental and bitchy than before," she says.
  "That's true," I nod and he kicks me.
  "Hey! Rude!"
  "I'm kidding! You know I'm judgmental and bitchy too," I said.
My phone buzzes and I grab it to see a text from Jude.
  "Speak of the devil!" I said and open it.

JUDE: can I come over!? I'm bored...

ME: sure!

JUDE: I'll be there in 5

I put my phone down.
  "Was it him?" She asks.
  "Yeah, he's coming over," I nod.
  "Um, why? I'm here," she says.
  "So," I laugh. "Don't be annoying, he's cool."
  "Fine," she laughs at herself. "Just saying you better not replace me."
  "Never!" I tell her and she nods.

I grab my phone and text, Isaac.

ME: hey!

I put it down and continue sketching. He hasn't written all morning so I wanted to make an effort to write to him.

  "Hey!" Jude walks into the room and I look over to him.
  "Hey," I say and he looks over to Ella and his eyes widen.
  "Ella," he says.
  "Jude," she mumbles back. "Long time no see."
  "Yeah," he said and sits down across from me. "What're you drawing!?" He asks.
  "Ella," I say.
  "I better look amazing," she tells me.
  "Mhm," I nod. I draw a huge dick, with a face on it. "Ready!?" I ask them.
  "Yeah," Noah says and Ella was looking down at her phone not paying attention. I turn it to him and he laughs.
  "What?" Ella looks up and I show her. "Oh fuck you!" She laughs.
  "What do you mean? It looks exactly like you," I said and she pushes me with her foot. "You look hot. Right, Jude!?"
"I think better than in real life," he nods and I laugh.
"No wonder you two idiots are friends," she shakes her head.
"It's funny," I laugh. My phone buzzes but it was just a message from Rachael.

RACH: hey bitch!
RACH: I was just wondering how you are we never talk!

ME: hey!
ME: I'm doing good! I get to see you in about a week!!

RACH: I know.. I'm excited!!!!!!
RACH: When do you get back!?

ME: Friday, that's the 7th

RACH: yay. We're going out immediately together
