In the evening the complete Dreamers meet at Coleman Records. We're supposed to be live on Instagram for half an hour to answer questions. So we all sit around the sofa. Alan, Kyan and Sam sit on the sofa, while I sit next to Alan and put my legs over his. Rafael, David and Noel sit in front of the couch and Alyssa, Madeline and Kaylee sit on the backrest. We start the live video and welcome all the people first. On a big screen next to the tablet we can read the questions. It takes less than two minutes until the first question "are Alan and Nike together?" Get asked. But during the whole live stream nobody reacts to this question.

When we are finished, Alan and I decide to record our cover so that the video can be cut until tomorrow evening. We get the camera team and stand in the recording room at the two microphones. We are given a signal that we can start singing. We stand so that we can look each other straight in the eyes. The music starts and Alan sings his first part:
It's quiet finally here we are
The world melts away and leaves a spark
And all I hear's my beating heart
Can you hear it?

He tenderly takes my hand and puts it at the height of his heart, while I have to smile and finally sing on:

The words are tangled up inside
Emotions trapped within my mind
Do I show my heart or do I hide?
Can you see it?

We cross our hands with each other and just let them hang while we look at each other continuously and continue to sing together:

Am I crazy, or maybe
This might be something real?
Under the surface and nerves and the logic
Do you feel what I feel?
There's something about the two of us
There's no denying, there's no denying
I'm hypnotized, it's such a rush
Don't wanna hide it, don't wanna hide it
Each breath I'm tryna keep my cool
Each step I don't know what to do
Are there consequences in the truth?
If you only knew

Alan continues singing on his own:
Can't spend forever holding back
The light is shining through the cracks

Before I go back in and we finish the song:
There's magic here behind our mask
Can you feel it?
Am I crazy, or maybe
This might be something real?
Under the surface and nerves and the logic
Do you feel what I feel?
There's something about the two of us
There's no denying, there's no denying
I'm hypnotized, it's such a rush
Don't wanna hide it, don't wanna hide it
Each breath I'm tryna keep my cool
Each step I don't know what to do
Are there consequences in the truth?
If you only knew

Alan happily embraces me and gives me a kiss on the cheek. After two more takes we are done and Alan drives me home. "It was fun, thanks" I give him a kiss on the cheek and get out.

It's Saturday, and we're in band practice. Since the published video the rumors about Alan and my relationship have increased and more articles are written every day. I only heard from Ondreaz once and that was a message after the release of "Florida". He wrote me that he knows that the song is about him because he recognized the message and that he knows that I was the best he ever had. I did not answer the message.

"Wanna try out your new song, Nike?" Luc smiles at me. "I'd love to" I wink at him and stand at the microphone. "Give everything you've got, the song should rock" I say to the band before I count in.

Insecure
In her skin
Like a puppet, a girl on a string
Broke away
Learned to fly
If you want her back gotta let her shine
So it looks like the joke's on you
'Cause the girl that you thought you knew
She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone
Here I am
This is me
And I'm stronger than you ever thought I'd be
Are you shocked?
Are you mad?
That you're missing out on who I really am
Now it looks like the joke's on you
'Cause the girl that you thought you knew
She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone away
Like history
She's so gone
Baby, this is me, yeah
She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone
She's so gone
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone
So long
She's so gone
Gone, gone, gone

Everyone clap when we're done. "There's something about this song that's gonna be a hit," Mark's all psyched. "And the new you is braver and better or what?" Piper is looking at me a little skeptically. "It's definitely not as naive as the old one anymore" I shrug my shoulder. "But I have to go now, I'm meeting Alan" I say goodbye and wait for Alan outside the house.

He greets me with a kiss and holds the door open for me so I can get into the car. I smile at him. We have spent the last few days together almost without interruption and even went for a walk in the dark. We are just leaving when my mobile phone rings. "Hey Emma, what's up?" "Nike, can you please come to Coleman Records right away? I really need to talk to you." Emma sounds serious. "Uh, I'm actually out with Alan right now." "That's fine. Then bring him along, but come on. It's urgent" "Okay, we're on our way" I sigh and hang up. "We have to go to the company. Emma wants to talk to me about something and it seems to be very important" Alan nods understandingly and drives towards the company.
