For @-REDH0E (I can't tag you?? Idk why Wattpad hates me)

You tried not to stare, but it was almost impossible. Your new neighbor was cute, and you couldn't help yourself from sneaking (rather long) glances at him when he was in view.

The woman who lived across the street was always the one to welcome new people, and she was more than willing to tell you everything she found out about him.

"His name's Leonardo—like the artist," she informed you. "He's very polite." She gave you a sideways look. "And he's single."

You laughed off her insinuation, but the knowledge of his status made you a little giddy.
__________

A knock at your door drew you away from the movie you had put on. The cute guy from next door was standing on the other side.

"Hi, I'm Leo," he quickly introduced, flashing you a sweet smile. "I just moved in next door, but you probably already knew that."

You giggled, trying to mask your nerves. "I did, but it's nice to properly meet you." You were suddenly very aware that you were still dressed in pajamas. "I'm Y/N."

"I was wondering if I could borrow some sugar. I used up all of mine before I moved, and I haven't really had time to do any real grocery shopping."

You were suddenly aware of the fact that he was holding a measuring cup. "Oh, sure! Come in." You took off into your kitchen, making a beeline for the sugar. Taking the package from the cabinet, you spun around, not realizing he had followed so closely behind.

He gripped your arm, steadying you. "Sorry," he laughed. "I tend to get in the way." Slowly, he released his hold on you.

The spot his hand had been on buzzed with nerves. That irrational part of your brain wanted to fall just for him to grab you again. Instead, you smiled and assured him "It's fine."

You both stood there, precariously close to one another. Then at once, as if it had just hit you, you both seemed to remember why he was there.

You held up the sugar. "How much do you need?"

"Hmm?" He cleared his throat, seeming to have not heard you. "Oh. Just a cup."

You gently poured sugar into his measuring cup. As it neared his desired amount, you glanced up at him. "There you go."

He blinked back at you, a smile settling onto his face as your eyes met. "Thanks."

"No problem."

"I'll show myself out." He looked back at you as he made his way to your front door.

A last minute thought brought you to the door as he exited. "Hey."

"Yeah?"

"What are you making?"

His oh-so-pretty smile lit up his face again. "Brownies. I'll bring you some when they're ready."

"I'm looking forward to it," you called after him.

He sent you a wink before turning and walking back to his own house.
__________

Sure enough, several hours later, you heard another knock at the door. You had just finished dressing after a shower, and you quickly tried to to dry your wet hair before answering the door.

"Hello?" you greeted as you pulled the door open.

Leo's smiling face appeared over a plate of brownies. "Your brownies." He held the plate out for you to take.

"Oh my goodness," you gasped. "Thank you! Do you want to come in? I was just about to make dinner."

"Oh no. I'm fine," he said politely. "I just wanted to bring you the brownies." His eyes tracked the movement of your hand through your still damp hair.

"Are you sure? I can get you a drink or something," you insisted, watching as he bit on his bottom lip.

He seemed to catch your drift and took a step inside. "You know what, I am feeling a little parched now that you mention it."

"I've got water and some orange juice, or I think there's some soda..." Still facing him, you backed into the kitchen, and he followed close.

"Water will be fine," he answered.

You bumped into the fridge, catching yourself. Just as you were about to turn around and open the fridge, he stopped you.

"Is it okay if I kiss you?" He drew closer, and your heartbeat grew louder.

Your breathing hitched at his question. It seemed so innocent yet the look in his eyes told you something else. And you loved every second of it. "Yes please."

I hate this ending but... uh your imagination can take the reigns on what happens after that :)

Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoy it!

M'kay.
