"No way!" Allison bursted out laughing as she and Kennedy sat on her bed in her room. The two girls had spent the entire weekend together. It was chaotic, but it was amazing for Kennedy to spend some time with someone other than Stiles and Scott.

Chris Argent knocked on the door frame, poking his head inside. "You girls alright?" He chuckled as he walked in.

Allison turned around, "Dad, Kennedy said that this school has a winter formal," She explained with a huge grin.

"Yeah, it's in like, a month," Kennedy told them, looking at Chris. Chris enjoyed Kennedy. She was smart, funny, and witty. She complimented Allison very well. Of course, Chris had spoken to Ben Stallard, and knew the truth behind the girls origins, but as far as he was concerned, Kennedy Stallard was simply Kennedy Stallard.

Chris smiled, "That's great, I'm sure you two are already planning dresses," He joked. Kennedy and Allison laughed along with him. "Now, Kenny, it is almost 7pm, I'm sure you should be heading home for school tomorrow,"

Kennedy dramatically groaned, throwing herself on Kennedy's bed. "I suppose," She mumbled, slowly pulling herself out of Allisons bed. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Definitely," Allison said with a huge smile. Kennedy grabbed her bag, and her car keys, slinging the strap over her shoulder before walking out of the Argent house.

Ben Stallard was in his office when Kennedy came home. He  was going through some files, his eyes flickering to the door. Kennedy walked past, humming a sweet tune. He leaned back slightly, smiling as he tilted his chin. "Hey, Kennybear,"

"Hi, Dad!"

He waited for a moment. After some distant scuffling, Kennedy came trotting back towards the office, smiling wide. Ben lifted a hand, gesturing to the girl. "How was the weekend with the Argents?"

"Good! They're kind of intimidating, don't you think?" Kennedy chimed casually. As she did, she looked around the office. It was filled with books. Ben said him and Kennedy's mom, Amanda, collected them over the years. Books on different mythologies, philosophies, urban legends. You name it, it was there. Amongst the books, were photos. Kennedy growing up, some photos of Amanda, little trinkets from over the years. This was Kennedy's favorite room in the house, because she got to read all about the worlds craziest stories. It was only recently she learned some of those stories could be true.

Ben scrunched his nose, shaking his head. "They run a good business, that's all. Gotta be tough to do it." He hummed casually. His tone sent shivers down Kennedy's spine. She grabbed a picture off the bookshelf. A photo of Kennedy and Stiles at one of his birthdays. Ben and Noah were behind them, smiling wide. She couldn't help but feel suspicious. If Ben was so close with Chris Argent, why did he never bring them up?
