sneaking out

"y/n, just come over, it's not that big of a deal, i promise," luke says as he trys to convince you.

currently, it was 1:30 (one - thirty) in the morning and your boyfriend was trying to persuade you to come over to his house. he was insisting that he couldn't sleep because of the fact that you just weren't there.

"luke i don't wanna wake your parents up or your brothers. i'll see you tomorrow won't i? can you just wait?" you ask him.

"y/nnnn," he whines in protest.

"everyone is already asleep and we'll be quiet. you don't live that far, just walk and i'll meet you on the porch. the lights will be on and i'll wait for you, okay? how does that sound?" he questions as you slip your shoes on.

"okay luke, i'm convinced." you giggle after speaking sarcastically. you then quietly walk down the stairs of your house. you open the front door slowly and walk out, closing the door behind you. you walk down the steps of your porch and begin your short trek.

luke doesn't live that far from you, he even lives in the same neighborhood as you. that makes it easy when the 2 (two) of you want to see each other. you've been walking for about 5 (five) minutes when you finally catch sight of his house. as promised, the porch lights are on and you can see your boyfriend waiting there.

when he sees you, he jogs off his porch and makes his way over to you. he smiles big at the sight of you and wraps his arms around your waist, lifting you in the air. he sets you down and gives you a quick peck on the lips.

"c'mon y/n, it's cold outside, let's go in."

he leads you inside and puts his pointer finger to his lips, signaling you to be quiet. you roll your eyes at him because he would be the one to wake someone up, not you.

he scoffs when you roll your eyes and you just bring your finger up to your lips, like he had just second prior.

he narrows your eyes when you mock him. you just usher him up the staircase when he protests. you finally make it to the top of the stairs and you both tiptoe to lukes room. luckily you and luke make it past both quinn and jacks room without causing a ruckus.

when you make it, he shuts the door behind you and tackles you into his bed. you laugh and cover your mouth with your hand. a few seconds go by and nothing happens, so you assume no one was woken up.

luke gives you a smile and rests his head on your stomach when you both get comfortable. you run your fingers through his hair and within no time he falls asleep, you not too long after.

when you wake up in the morning, you're greeted by the smell of waffles coming from the kitchen. there's a weight on your stomach and when you look down, lukes head is still resting atop your stomach. he is already awake and looking up at you.

"finally, you're awake! let's go downstairs and eat, i'm starving!" luke insists. you chuckle and shake your head, telling him to give you a moment. you grab your phone from his bedside table and you check your notifications.

you see that you don't have any texts or calls from your parents yet, so you assume that they're still asleep or they haven't been in your room yet.

you decide to send them both a text saying that you went to luke's late last night, knowing that they would be more mad at you if you didn't tell the truth, rather than lie to them about it.

"okay, let's go," you say to luke. he grabs your hand and pulls you up from his bed and put his door.

walking past both quinn and jacks room, you see that both of their doors are open, meaning that they're both up already.

when you make it to the kitchen, everyone is already there. jim is reading his newspaper, ellen is making waffles, quinn is staring at the tv, and jack just stares at the 2 (two) of you when you both walk down the stairs.

"see! i told you mom, i knew she was here, 'cause i could've sworn i heard you guys laughing." jack playfully says as he points a finger at you both.

"oh jack be quiet, they're cute, leave them alone," ellen says to he middle child. jack just raises his hands up in defense when jim smacks him on the shoulder with his newspaper.

"so kids, are you hungry?"
