you and luke were laying on his bed, watching a movie, trying to pass the time. you were both waiting to hear from his coach about whether or not the season would continue. luke's head was in your lap and you were running your fingers through his curly locks.

his phone beeps, signaling a notification. luke grabs his phone from where it rests face down on the bed and turns it over, staring at the screen.

"they cancelled it, they cancelled the season." he says, a frown etched onto his features. you sigh, thinking of ways to cheer him up.

"i'm sorry lukey, you'll always have next season," you say, trying to cheer him up.

"yeah, i know, i just thought that my first season would be special y'know? it's not fair, quinn and jack got a normal season, this sorta stuff always happens to me," he mumbled.

you nod your head. you stand up and outstretch your arm to where luke is still lying on his bed. luke furrows his brows. "what?"

"c'mon, let's go get some snacks from downstairs and watch a movie."

luke grasps your hand and you lead him downstairs. you both walk through his kitchen, looking for food. luke enters the pantry and grabs a bag of popcorn for the two of you to share.

"you want this?" he asks, holding up the bag.

you nod in approval, taking the bag out of his hands. the two of you head back upstairs, then into his room. luke lies down first, spreading his legs. you lay down so that your back is against his chest, legs inside of his. he wraps his hands around your waist resting them on your stomach.

luke opens the bag of popcorn, reaches in, then takes a handful. he hands you the bag and you do the same before setting it aside.

"i'm sorry lukey, i know how special this first season was to you." you say with a frown.

"it's okay, because i have you," he says with a smile, kissing the top of your head.

"i love you." you say, twisting in his arms.

"i love you more," luke says as he kisses your lips.
