You could hear someone singing.

La, lala... lalalala, lala, la....

You didn't know how long you had been listening to the sweet song, but it seemed to go on forever. Just the faintest whisper in your ear.

"Are you ready, (Y/N)?"

"Huh?" You looked to the person on your left. You gave him a big smile, "Of course I am, Jonathan! I've been waiting for this day my whole life!"

He smiled back, handing you your bouquet of assorted flowers, "Well, you look absolutely stunning, (Y/N). He's a very lucky man. I'm sure my father would have loved to walk you down the aisle. It's a shame the sickness got to him before your special day. But let's not ruin the mood with such sad talk." Jonathan held an arm out to you, "Shall we?"

You accepted the offer as you moved your veil to cover your face. "Of course."

The doors opened and the man sitting by the piano in the corner started playing the wedding music. There weren't many guests. Just Dio, Jonathan's wife Erina, and some of Speedwagon's friends. It didn't take long for the Joestar to lead you down the aisle.

You stepped up the small step to be face to face with your soon-to-be husband. You couldn't help but think he looked quite dashing in his black suit.

The priest took a second to clear his throat and then got down to business. "Robert E.O. Speedwagon, do you take (Y/N) (L/N) to be your wedded wife, to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to her, for as long as you both shall live?"

Speedwagon didn't hesitate, gazing into your eyes all the while, a smile on his face. "I do."

So the priest turned his head to you, "(Y/N) (L/N), do you take..." His voice faded out replaced with a familiar tune.

Lala... lela relalala la...

You looked down at the silver ring around your finger before grinning at your new husband across from you.

The priest shut his little book. "Now, you may kiss the bride."

Speedwagon stepped closer to you, lifting the white veil. Then he leaned in, giving you a gentle kiss on the lips. You looped your arms around the back of his neck, glad to be so close to him. Although, you found it weird that somehow the kiss felt almost... nostalgic. As if for some reason you hadn't seen him in a long time. That didn't make any sense.

Robert pulled back from you, caressing your face with one hand, "You look beautiful, (Y/N)." Then, he took your hand in his own, leading you along with him to mingle with some of the guests. Or at least, the few that were there.

"Congratulations to the both of you." Erina walked up to you and Speedwagon, Jonathan at her side. She had one hand resting on her rather prominent baby bump. "I'm glad you waited until after we returned from our honeymoon. We wouldn't have wanted to miss out on your special day. Have you made plans for your own honeymoon, yet?"

You and Speedwagon exchanged looks before he answered. "We were planning on going to Italy. We've heard it's quite beautiful this time of year."

"How nice. I hope you have fun." Jonathan was just glad to see the two of you happy. "We'll be sure to see you off." The couple cheerfully walked away.

"So you really chose him?" Dio eyed Speedwagon skeptically, not sure what you could possibly see in him. "Some street thug over a renowned lawyer like me?"

"Why are you even here, Dio?" Speedwagon couldn't help but scrunch up his nose, still unable to block out the putrid smell of evil wafting from the man in front of him. Even if there wasn't any proof, he had a feeling that he was the reason Jonathan's father was dead and your mother was killed all those years ago.
