"Gavin Grey, what did you do to my heart?" she said, looking straight into my eyes.

You can see that she's already drunk.

I don't know the answer to that question.

I quietly stared back at her while caressing her hair.

"Why?" She touched my cheeks. She's pinching my cheeks, actually. Para itong natuwa sa aking pisngi at marahan itong pinisil pisil.

"Gavin..." narinig kong tawag ng kaibigan niya mula sa labas ng kwarto. "Ano'ng nangyari, hindi ka na nakalabas diyan?" sabi pa nito sabay pasok.

Hindi na ako nakaayos ng upo at nadatnan pa kami ni Shane sa ganitong sitwasyon.

"You should sleep, Princess." sabi ko kay Madison.

"Why you're not answering my question?" pagmamaktol ni Madison. Sumimangot ito.

"We will talk about that tomorrow, if you remember all this when you wake up." I said.

Pinapanood lang kami ni Shane. Hindi na ito muling nagsalita.

"Sleep now, Madiosn Kaylee."

Hinaplos ko ang pisngi nito hanggang sa siya ay pumikit.

Humarap ako sa kaibigan niya.

"I'm starting to think that you and her are a thing."

I smiled but didn't bother to give an explanation.

"Why are you smiling, Gavin?" natatawa rin ito sa reaksyon ko. "You know, you are not like that before." sabi nito.

Hindi na ako nagkomento pa sa sinabi nito.

"Is she okay alone here?" I asked instead.

"Dito na kami magpapalipas ng gabi. Late na rin." sagot nito na napatingin pa sa kaniyang wrist watch.

Hindi ko sigurado kung anong emosyon ang nahihimigan ko rito pero mukhang hindi naman siya galit. Well, Shane is the most serious of them all and the protector of Madison's heart. I guess she's just cautious because of what she has seen earlier.

"Well then, that's good. Don't leave her alone okay? She doesn't want that." sabi ko pa rito.

Tumango ito.

Muli kong hinaplos ang pisngi ni Madison.

"Good night, Princess."

"Gavin, don't go..." she whispered.

I thought she was already sleeping because her eyes are closed. Parang mali na nagsalita pa ako.

Napalingon ako kay Shane.

"You can stay for a bit." sabi nito saka tumalikod pero bumalik rin. "Don't do something stupid." she warned me.

"Noted, Ma'am." sabi ko rito.

I stared at her.

Hindi ko na maintindihan bakit ganito rin ako ka-attached sa kaniya. All I know is that I want to be with her most of the time. There's no specific explanation why, but that is really what I am feeling almost every day.

"Where is Madison?" sabi ng isa sa kaibigan ni Madison but I don't know who amongst them.

"She's in her room." That's Shane, I guess.
