One year later

"Bruv, bakit ngayon ka lang nagparamdam sa amin, ganyan mo na ba kami natitiis ngayon?" reklamo nitong si Reed. We're actually hanging out somewhere near my office.

"Huwag mo nang kulitin si Gavin, buti nga pumunta pa e." binato ng tissue ni Arkin si Reed.

Wala pa rin talaga silang kasing kulit.

Well, ang mga kaibigan ko, walang nagbago. I'd still have the same set of friends after my accident. They never left my side. Madalas silang magkita kita except for me who needs to finish my studies. Naiwan ako and had to take summer classes to graduate. Mas nauna silang grumaduate. Kakaraduate ko lang last October.

"Kamusta naman ang pagiging newly appointed CEO?" pangungulit ni Evan. Binato rin ako nito ng tissue nang hindi ako sumasagot.

I stayed the same. Hindi pa rin madalas umimik. Or should I say I went back to my old self.

"Kailangan na talaga nating i-celebrate 'yan! Nasaan na ba sila?" tanong ni Reed.

Pangiti ngiti lang ako sa mga ito.

We're still waiting for the others. Simula ng grumaduate kaming lahat, may kanya kanya na ring buhay at pinagkakaabalahan ang mga ito. Reed, Evan and Arkin are already working in their company. They became General Managers right after graduation. Madison's friends started their own business. I think that is a makeup line and somehow it is now popular in the market. They called it MK Cosmetics. I'm not into details, you know I don't meddle around them that much. Tristan became the Vice President of Z Realties as well.

As for me, I was appointed last week as the new CEO of G and G Group of Companies. I'm hesitant at first but I have a goal to pursue that is why I'm aiming for this.

I'm in a coma for 4 months. Mabilis na raw 'yon na recovery ayon sa doktor. Usually it takes years for a person to recover in the state kaya napakaswerte na gumaling ako kaagad. Hindi naging madali ang recovery dahil kailangan kong mag-undergo ng therapy for me to go back to normal. But, there are times that I'm still aching.

When I woke up, something was missing.

I tried to keep myself busy so I could shake off all of the memories. Not that I don't want to remember them, those memories are my treasure. Every single day I was with her makes me feel alive. But until now, there were no traces. Hindi namin alam kung saan siya naroroon ngayon. No social media, no messages, no reply to my emails, no signs at all. It seems like she's hiding herself intentionally.

"Ayan na si Tan, finally!" bulalas ni Arkin. Napalingon ako sa bagong dating.

"Sorry, I'm late. Marami lang akong tinapos sa office. You know, Kuya Travis is keeping his eyes on me." umupo ito sa tabi ko at nakipagfist bump sa akin.

"Glad you came tonight, bruv." bati nito sa akin pero tipid lang akong ngumiti.

"Hello, guys!" bati nila Shane, Macy at Trixie.

"Kamusta?"

Walang humpay na kwentuhan at tawanan na naman ang kasunod.

"Si Sean na lang ang wala. Nasaan na ba 'yon?" humarap si Arkin sa cellphone niya at nag-umpisang magmessage sa group chat.

We're almost complete.

Almost.

We will never be unless she comes back.

Not until I find her...
