Chapter 97: Chico In Action

Y/N's POV

Ocelot and Quiet came back to Mother Base. And the nuke got dismantled. I see that there's yet another nuke. I then get an idea. I'll see if Chico is up for taking the nuke. I see Kaz at Chico's door.

Y/N: How's he doing?

Kaz: Even since he got here, he hasn't left his quarters. He's been in there the whole time.

Y/N: I had a feeling this would happen... I'm going to talk to him.

Kaz: Okay.

I open the door to his quarters. I see Chico sitting on his bed, his back towards the door.

Y/N: Chico...?

Chico doesn't say anything.

Y/N: Are you okay?

Chico finally speaks...

Chico: No... I'm not...

Y/N: Chico...

Chico: This doesn't feel right... it doesn't feel the same... I can't look at our men the same as MSF... I'm afraid of screwing up again...

Y/N: You won't...

Chico doesn't say anything.

Y/N: Listen... I got something for you.

Chico: What could you possibly have for me...?

Y/N: I guess I never told you what our mission is...

I take a deep breath.

Y/N: We are trying to get rid of every nuke in the world. They are all in these other bases, called FOBs... we have been infiltrating them to get the nukes and dismantling them. We want to create a peaceful world...

Chico finally looks at me.

Chico: Paz would've liked that...

I smile.

Y/N: Yeah... she would.

Chico stands up.

Chico: I'm in, what do you want me to do?

Y/N: I want you to come with me, we'll infiltrate one of these FOB's who have these nukes and take the nuke, and get into the main tower to gain control, and to extract the men.

Chico nods.

Chico: I'll help you...

Y/N: I know you will.

Chico smiles, that was the first time I've seen a smile from him in years. I call the chopper and we head for the helipad. When the chopper arrives, we get on. The chopper flies us away from Mother Base.
