"Yes sir" I answered, "let's go take back what truly belongs to you!" I shouted

The wise man's energy had been recharged, as for myself I had enough left to put up a fight, all we had left to do was locate the energy source.

"Vanessa I hope you understand I am too old to fight him, he is too powerful." the wise man explained.

"Don't worry sir I will put my all into it, I won't go down without a fight!" I exclaimed.

"I will leave you off here with my blessing" He said,

"Thank you sir I will do my best to return your heir".

The wise man stopped and watched as I walked away, I was gonna put my all into this fight, he didn't deserve all right to energy, people like me had the right to contact family and friends!

Nessa slowly disappeared before my own eyes, she was the only thing I could remember and she, she was gone! I cried into my pillow, I heard my parents walk into the room, they sat down on the bed and rubbed my back.

"Honey did you really see Nessa?" Mrs Merrell asked,

"Ellie, you need to let it go it was a figment of her imagination!" Mr Merrell protested.

They carried on the argument for several minutes until I was sick of their bickering, I spoke up

"Look Dad you don't have to believe that Nessa was here, but she was and she is ALL that I can remember and I will never forget her!" I shouted.

He looked hurt and offended,

"I should be the one who is offended here, and don't even talk about hurt! I've just lost my sister for the second time for me!" I bellowed.

"I'm sorry Veronica" He apologized.

I turned my head so I was facing the wall, I heard him get up and leave, my mom patted my back and said,

"I'm sorry honey and so is your father but we went through the exact same thing as you, I know how it feels, and Roni don't worry I believe"

With that my Mother stood up and left the room.

I was so harsh to them, I don't even know them properly, they also went through losing her and I'm just making it hard for them, my eyes swelled up with tears, I should have just let go! Life would be so much easier for them!

I was about to give up hope on searching for the energy, this place is bigger than space when I heard a cry, it was coming from what seemed to be a child, I ran around in the direction of the noise.

I came across a little girl about the age of 6 sitting alone in the middle of a field, I slowly approached her,

"Hello? Are you ok little girl?" I asked concerned,

As soon as I finished my sentence she ran up and hugged me, I was taken back at first but kneeled down to join the hug,

"Honey, what's wrong?" I asked

"I, I thought I was alone, I, I can't find my Mummy and Daddy!" she cry whispered into my shoulder.

My heart tore in half as I heard her say this, she had no clue, no clue that she was dead, my mind was racing on what to say to this infant all I could do was to hug her back.

"Do you know where I could find my Mummy and Daddy?" she questioned,

I gently tucked her blonde ringlets behind her ear and whispered,

"Where did you last see them?"

"In the car" she cried.

I slowly picked her up and placed her on my shoulders, I didn't want her to be upset, I wanted her to think of this place as somewhere to have fun,

"How about we play a game" I shouted trying to sound as enthusiastic as I could.

We played games for hours, laughing, running around playing tag or hopscotch, ponies and more it was the most fun I had since Roni, she stopped mid running to ask me a question,

"Excuse me but what is your name?"

"My name is Vanessa but you can call me Nessa sweetie" I replied

"That's a beautiful name, my name is Sophie" she said

"Why thank you Sophie but I think I like yours better" I teased as I tickled her down to the ground, her laugh was the cutest thing you could ever hear. It was getting dark by now.

I stopped, remembering why I was out here in the first place,

"What's wrong Nessa?" she asked ,

"I, I have to go fight him!"

"Fight who?" she asked with a hint of worriedness in her voice,

"Honey, it's been so fun playing with you today but I have to go protect this land from evil, he stops people from being happy" I answered,

I regretfully started to walk away, it was almost impossible to turn my back on Sophie but I had to go and take him down!

"Nessa please don't leave" she shouted after me "Did he stop you from being happy?

I stopped flat in my tracks, I couldn't help but think of Veronica, how I most likely will never see her again, flashbacks were racing through my mind, tears rolled down my cheeks, I collapsed onto my knees sobbing.

I heard Sophie running up to me, she gave me a hug telling me not to cry,

"Nessa, don't cry, please? What did he do to make you sad?" she questioned,

"Well, Sophie he took me away from someone I loved dearly and now he's stopping everyone from being with their loved ones" I sobbed.

"Who did he take away from you?" Sophie asked curiously,

"Just like you he took me away from my Mommy and Daddy" Somehow I cried even harder, I felt as if I was setting a horrible example for Sophie.

She gently tucked back my hair and hugged me, "Is that all? You seem very upset?"

I shook my head and held her closer,

"He took away my sister and best friend, I will never see her again" I whispered,

I stood up and took her hand, "Sophie, when I first arrived I thought I had no one, I don't want you to feel that way, so would you like to come on an adventure?" I asked.

With that we walked into the sunset on the search for the source of energy.
