She stood at the edge, teetering on the brink of certain death, yet all she felt was a sense of curiosity. 

She peered down the busy road, wondering what would happen if she were to move just a bit too close. Would they stop to help? Would they just step over, in a perpetual hurry to somewhere?

She shrugged, stepping away. Her pale dress fluttered around her knees, tickling her skin. With windswept hair and flushed face, she looked like an apparition - a beautiful one.

"You could die, you know?" A voice whispered in the winds, an invisible onlooker.

She shook her head, amused.

"Me? I am not lucky enough to." She winked, walking away from the fall.
