Chapter 7: Portraying

***Katy's POV***

I can't believe I almost got him fired. Luckily Mr. Andrews didn't. I don't know what I'll do if he gets fired. I'll probably won't able to show my face to him.

Last night was a bit complicated for me. It was fun and all but there's has been some conflicts.

"Hey, David, do you know anyone name Antonio?"

"Can't say that I have. Why?"

"Nothing, just asking."

"I heard about what happened, what were you thinking Katy! you missed one of the most important record session."

"I wasn't thinking about anything, I guess I just didn't have any off time to myself ever since I started my career and I've been pretty busy lately."

"Katy." He sighed. "Who are you with anyway?"

"Ethan Anderson."

"Who's he?"

"He's one of the stage architecture from my last concert."

"Why are you out with him?" He asked sarcastically.

"Wha---- he asked me to."

"Katy? what are you getting into?"

"Nothing David, absolutely nothing."

"Please don't tell me, you're dating him."

"No, he's just a good friend of mine."

"Good friend huh?" He scoffs.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

"That doesn't sound like nothing, Come on tell me."

"It's like one of your ex boyfriends all over again."

"Why'd you say that?"

"That's how it starts out; first you missed out on record session, and then you tell me you are just friends with him, and later on you have your heartbroken."

"What exactly are you saying?"

"I don't think he's just a friend, I think it's more than that."

"Look, I've told you this before; were just friends, nothing more nothing less."

"Let's see about that."

I get where he's going with this. He's been really overprotective with me lately; ever since my break up with John. But he's right about one thing; it did start out like what happens last night. I'm just hoping it's nothing big that makes my friendship with him be complicated. I finally find someone who sees me as a normal person. And I can't have that be gone like a wind.

It's 12:00 in the afternoon, and I've been pacing myself across the room for the past minute.

"Katy, will you stop, you're giving me a headache."

"I'm sorry."

"There you're doing it again."

"I just can't think straight alright David."

"Alright, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, everything is peachy."

"Sure doesn't sound like it."

"Do you know where they keep the files of the tour worker?"

"Yeah, but why?"

"I just need to know, please tell me."
