"Pretty cute? Is that a compliment?" He asks, raising his eyebrows.
"Definitely." You grin, stepping onto your tiptoes and kissing his lips quickly.
When you pulled away his lips curled into a smile, "what was that for?"
You shrugged, smiling up at him, "maybe because you're a lot different than you make yourself out to be... Derek. I like this side of you."
He couldn't stop smiling, a rare sight from the young Hale, "if that's your way of telling me you like me, I like you too." He said before leaning towards you and kissing you again with more force as he wrapped his arms around your waist.
