I place a mug of coffee in front of him, but it seems as though his mind is in a completely separate world. Rosie and Peter sit on the other side of the table, totally oblivious. They chit-chat back and forth, unaware that anything is wrong. I sit beside him, with my cup of tea and he barely bats an eye. Gently, I place my palm on his cheek and turn his head to face me. He has heavy, black bags beneath his eyes, and they're inflamed from crying the night before. I search his expression for something, but come up with nothing. He's entirely emotionless. "Harry..." I whisper, desperately. He removes my hand and sits back further into his chair. Rosie, and her blatant attentiveness, slips off of her chair and walks over to Harry. She cups his face in her hands and observes him.

"Why are you sad, daddy?" He doesn't try to smile, as he usually does.

"M'not sad, pumpkin. Just tired." She leans into him and her blue eyes continue to stare up at him.

"Well, you seem sad to me." He sighs and lifts her into his lap.

"Why don't you go play upstairs with Pete?"
