Chapter 15

** Angie's POV & Thoughts **

I was awoken by the stupid alarm clock, ugh. I forgot today was my first day at school.

I checked and it was 6:02 and I slowly walked out of bed grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth then I took a short shower and put my clothes on.

My Outfit:

White Tank Top

Brownish Oversized Knit Sweater

Black Jeans

Black Combat Boots

I did my hair in a fishtail braid and put on some mascara on.

I looked decent enough, plus it was school so who cares to be honest. I checked the time and it was 6:32 and Mom, I mean Mahogany said that Nash would take Jace, I think his name was and I to school around 7:25.

So I had 45 minutes to spare so why not practice some vocal outside before Breakfeast.

I grabbed my songbook and guitar and went outside to the backyard to play. No one was out here or awake so I should be okay.

I decided to practice one of my old songs since I liked all the songs I wrote. The song was called Carmen. I honestly wrote it for the closest person I had as a best friend in the orphanage.

Her name was Carmen, and she was one of the popular and most liked in the orphanage. The sad thing was that she was drugged and killed when she was outside... So yea... Also. I had a rough time when I was around 12 . I did drugs and all those nasty shit.

I closed my eyes, trying not to remember her and began to play the guitar:

Darling, darling, doesn't have a problem
Lying to herself 'cause her liquor's top shelf
It's alarming honestly how charming she can be
Fooling everyone, telling them she's having fun

She says y-

I stopped singing because I was interrupted by a voice. And of course it had to be Shawn.

"Yo! You sing perfectly, what song is that? I've never heard of it" he said getting closer and closer.

I wasn't scared, I felt awkward and uncomfortable. Since he kinda was listening to me singing and yea.

"Sorry, this is weird." I said and grabbed my guitar and songbook and left them in my room and went back downstairs to the kitchen to eat Breakfeast.

"Hey, you alright?" Shawn asked and sat at the table.

"Yea" I said and decided to eat some simple cereal. I grabbed the milk and cereal and sat down and ate.

"So how are you?" Shawn asked as he ate an apple. Seriously? I'm kinda getting annoyed that he always interrupts or listens when i practice.

"Great, you?" I asked.

"Great" he said.

I checked my phone and it was 7:01 and I had a text from Nash:

N: Hey, I went to pick up Hayes, I'll see you in like 15 min.

Weird, since he lives in the same house as I do. He could of picked up his brother last, but whatever.

A: Okay. Thanks

"Morning!" a happy Mahogany said as she walked down from upstairs, seconds later Jacob appeared mad and tired and just waved at me.

"Ignore Jacob, he's not a morning person" she said and laughed.

For the next about 15 minutes we talked and talked about things. Well, Shawn went back to his room so i felt much comfortable talking to Jacob and Mahogany.

"Nash, is outside" Jacob said and I nodded.

"Have a great day at school" Mahogany said and they both gave me a hug.

I grabbed my backpack and headed outside.
