** Angie's POV & Thoughts **

"So Angie, what do you like to do?" Mariah asked me.

"Well, i'm a singer. So I like to write songs" I said.

"Sounds great" she replied back.

"Do you want another tamale sweetheart?" she asked.

"No, i'm fine thank you" I said but she placed another two tamales on my plate.

"Eat up, you must be very hungry don't be shy" she said and I nodded my head.

"So, you know how i'm leaving to survivor in two days?" Jeremiah asked.

"Congrats, bud. You have fun out there" his dad said.

"Wait, you can't go to a country that's far away" Mariah said.

"Mom, i'll be fine" he said back.

"Reconsider staying" his mom said.

"Mom" he said.

"I'm sorry. Jeremiah. Just be safe" she said.

"I will, don't worry" he said.

"So Angie, where ya from?" Austin asked.

"Los Angeles" I said.

"How long are you planning to stay here in North Carolina?" he asked.

"Well, I have a concert the day Jeremiah leaves to Survivor, so not long" I said.

"Well, you're welcome here whenever. Mi casa es tu casa" Mariah said.

"Thank you" I said.

"Shoot, dear we have a business trip to attend tomorrow" Austin said to Mariah.

"Who's going to take care of my little Tate?" she asked.

"Mom! I'm not a little kid" Tate finally spoke up.

"Isn't my sister in town?" Austin asked her.

"I don't think so" she replied.

"I guess we should cancel it then" Austin said.

"No, I can take care of myself" Tate said.

"I need someone to look after you, who's going to feed you? Who's going to take you to school?" she asked him.

"Mom, I only have like two days left of school!" he complained.

"I'm not going to leave you alone" she said.

"Dad, it's not fair, say something" he said and Jeremiah was just laughing.

"I'm okay with what your mother says" he said.

"Seems like Tate gonna have to get a professional babysitter" Jeremiah said.

"Mariah and Austin, if you'd like I could take care of Tate for you guys, I mean he's old he won't be trouble" I said and Tate looked at me with a sigh of relief.

"Are you sure? Tate is Tate" Austin said.

"I'm sure" I said.

"But you're traveling a lot, I don't want him to slow down your career" Mariah said.

"It's nothing, my family aren't really home, so company wouldn't be bad" I said.

"Please mom" Tate begged.

"Before we leave remind me to give you cash for the flights and stuff" she said.

"No, don't worry. I can pay for both of us. It's no big deal" I said.

"Alright, thank you so much Angie" Mariah said.

"Anytime" I said.

"Thank you!" Tate said to me.

After dinner we all helped clean up and we got everything cleaned and organized.

"Thank you for dinner, it was amazing" I said to Mariah.

"My pleasure" she said with a smile and I walked toward the living room and sat down next to Jeremiah.

"We're off to bed, good night everyone. Nice to meet you Angie" Mariah said.

"Night everyone. Nice meeting you Angie" Austin said walking with Mariah up to where I assume their room.

"Night" Jeremiah and Tate said.

"Nice meeting you too and good night" I said.

"Thank you so much Angie, again" Tate said.

"You're welcome" I said, but I really hope I don't regret looking after him.
