The Past

Yume ran and ran and ran as fast as she could thru the unfamiliar city, or town, or whatever it was. She had no idea where she was going, but somehow she knew where to go ... the beach.

She looked out into the sea, hopeless. "Subaru!" she yelled "Where are you?!!"

"I'm right here Tomato," he said, suddenly appearing next to her.

"You're okay!" she sighed

"Of course I'm okay. Why wouldn't I be?" Subaru replied angrily

"It's about your unit wasn't it?" asked Yume, he didn't reply "What was it called again?"

"Ballad," Subaru replied with a sigh

"That's a nice name," Yume said

"Whatever,"

The two were silent as they looked into the sea. "Do you want to talk about it?" Yume asked finally.

"... Not now,"

"Oh ... okay,"

"..."

"..."

"Okay, now I'm ready to talk,"

~~Flashback~~

"One, two! One, two, three, GO!" Subaru started to play his guitar and Asahi played his keyboard.

The two boys were in Asahi's house playing their music in great harmony. Then came in the lyrics.

They played and played, then when the song was over they heard clapping. "Oh, hey Dad!" said Asahi

"Hello Mr. Kasumi," said Subaru "You were listening?"

"Listening, the entire house heard you," he said "But that was wonderful, why aren't you two performing yet,"

"Because I'm moving to Luminous City, remember?" Subaru reminded him

"That's right ... guess we're going have to come with you for a while," The boys starred at him confused.

"We're not moving too, are we?" Asahi asked

"No, no. But I don't see anything wrong with getting your first record in Luminous City. I have a friend of a friend who could set you up for a record,"

"You mean ... we could be a real success?" Asahi wondered

"Success? You two will be the newest stars of the Kalos Region!"

"Yes! We're going to be famous!" The two boys said together

The stadium cheered their name as Ballad finished their final performance for their concert. "We love you!"

"Thank you!" They said "Thank you! You've been a great audience, good night!"
