"Wait, Kate, shouldn't you be at the school practicing?" Noah asks me quickly, breaking the conversation at the table.

"Oh-shit. Yeah-probably." I replied, standing up out of my chair.

"Practice for what?" Hunter and Darren ask in unison.

"She never told you guys?" Lilli asks, standing up with me.

"Told us what?" Dylan questions.

"She's got a dance competition this Friday." Kyle answered for me.

"What? You never said anything..." Dylan trailed off at the end.

I shrugged, then changing the subject-kind of,

"Noah, can I take your car? I'll come back here when I'm finished."

"No, it's okay. We can all go home now." Noah said, standing up.

"Are you sure?" I asked, glancing at Lilli and Kyle as well.

They nodded as Kyle stood up,

"Can we come watch?"

"Uh-no." I said. Noah, Kyle and Lilli all pouted,

"Why not?"

"So it's a surprise for my show." I replied simply.

They nodded, understanding.

"When's your show?" Darren asked as we all started to walk out.

"It starts at ten this Friday. Not sure when it ends, but my solo is-like-last in the competition. There's not many dances, though." I answered, they all nodded.

"We'll be there." Darren assured me.

"No, you really don't have to-," I tried to say, but Hunter cut me off,

"We will be there."

I sighed and smiled,

"I love you guys."

Coach Lindi thought it really complemented my skin tone. And it's absolutely beautiful.

For my hair, I did two Dutch braids ending in ponytails. (Below)
