-She watches Wit crawl upon and disappear over the castle walls...-

The princess then rushes back inside the castle... "He didn't sound demonic at all though..." she thought; remembering his calm,  low voice... it wasn't gravelly, deep or maniacal as one would expect, but very laid-back even when he tried to scare her.. "But he has to be one! No human could leap over the wall like he did, nor can any monster talk to and understand people so easily!". Lora heads straight to the royal library, and immediately starts searching for anything on demons... "I have to find out more... but if anyone catches me having a sudden interest, maybe something bad will happen? Wit seemed very scared about that, so I can't use my laptop.", she finally finds a Encyclopedia, and sits the heavy book on a table. The princess quickly skips through to demons and finds a definition explaining they're:

The word δαίμων denotes a spirit or divine power, much like the or . Daimōn most likely came from the Greek verb daiesthai (to divide, distribute). The Greek conception of a daimōn notably appears in the works of , where it describes the divine inspiration of . The original Greek word does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the δαιμόνιον (daimonion), and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root

She further reads to find out that they're:

Imaginary representations of people's conscious, like angels. They're supposedly evil-spirits that lead you to do wrong, and that it's possible to make deals with the vile creatures.

Lora looks surprised at the book "So they could be real? I'm still unsure of wot I saw, but it appears they're like other monsters, except... nobody knows for sure if they exist... I have to learn more!". She continues reading about the devils...

Days pass as Lora reads more and more about demons, their ways and what they are: all the information she learned was taken with a grain of salt as she now knew that nothing she read was for entertainment, nor was simply all fiction that was made up by mass hysteria. All the while, Herbert got his paladin team ready for the trip to Campe. he finally had the extraction-spell ready to use, and had left the castle... Lora bided her time, knowing she would be in trouble if she showed interest.. but now had a perfect plan ready for stopping Herbert from possibly murdering the guardian...

A day after the team started their expidition, Lora goes out into the castle's courtyard early in the morning.. She then draws a circle in the pavement with a fresh piece of chalk and starts burning Frakincense, elemi and Myrrh.. "I almost forgot, I need a sacrifice..." Lora thought out loud... she then pulls out a knife! "They said blood would work for minor-demons, here's hoping Wit will smell this..." she thought as she hesitantly aims at her soft, index-finger.. Until Wit suddenly zooms down the side of the wall and stomps out the burning plants! "What the actual hell?!!!! Stop it!!!" he yelled as he snatches the knife from her! Lora's surprised but smiles in relief, ironic: as her demon summoning worked far too well... "Wit!" she exclaims, he replies angrily "Don't do that, ya freak! The others could've heard you!".
