Bill put the last plate in the cupboard and hung the tea towel on the wall.
"We really need to get a dishwasher," he commented, as he walked into the living room to join Matty.
"I already have one," Matty laughed.
She passed him a scotch, giving him a quick kiss.
Bill looked around.
"Where is the old lady?"
Matty smiled a sexy smile and purred slightly.
"I sent her away. I though me and my wonderful man could use a night together."
Bill gave her a long kiss.
"Sounds like a plan."
He was about to kiss her again, when his cellphone rang.
The two stared at it, until it stopped ringing.
"Now where were we?" Bill smiled, as he prepared to kiss Matty again.
Matty's cellphone started ringing and Bill's soon followed.
Bill looked at Matty.
"I think someone is trying to get hold of us."
Matty laughed, as she let out a long sigh. She picked up the cellphone.
"Youse tink?"
She spoke into the phone.
"Matty here."
The smile quickly left her face.
"We'll be right there."
She put her cellphone in her pocket and quickly downed her drink, putting the crystal glass on the coffee table.
"That was Val, at the Pub. I think we have an issue."
"Fuck," Bill sighed, as he drank his drink and followed Matty outside.
A couple minutes later, the two walked into the Pub.
Val met them, as soon as they entered.
"Ise sorry for callin' you, but 'es been 'ere all afternoon and night drinkin' and buyin' drinks for everyone.
Ise told 'im that 'e was cut off and 'e started gettin' a little pissed at me."
