"Where you off to?"
"Down to the fab plant," Bill explained, as he put on his jacket.
"Put on a toque," Matty suggested.
"Its a little cold out there." She kissed Bill gently.
"I don't want my man's head to freeze."
She pulled a toque from one of the shelves in the closet, near the patio doors.
"Didn't even know I owned one," Bill laughed.
Matty put the toque on his head.
"I bought it for you, last time I was in Corner Brook."
She stood back.
"Cute."
Bill lit a cigarette.
"What have you got planned?"
"Gotta talk to Gail about the proposal she gave me and then, somewhere along the way, once the proposal is signed and the money transfered, we have to decide how we are going to allocate damages."
Bill nodded.
"Never ends, does it."
He put his hand on the handle to the patio door.
"Oh, almost forgot. I talked to Nick while you were in the shower. Nina and Colin are going to be arriving today and they have already packed up all their stuff and it is on the way here."
"That was quick. Will the house be ready?" Matty sounded concerned.
"I haven't been over to the site lately."
Bill nodded.
"Their part will be. There is still some work to do on the clinic, but I think they kinda need Nick to help them there."
