Bill and Matty's cellphones started ringing at almost the same time.

"This can't be good," Matty sighed, as she picked up hers.

"Cameron," she sneered, as she looked at the caller ID.

"Harriette," Bill informed Matty.

"Wanna trade?" Matty pleaded.

"Fuck no."

They both took deep breaths as they answered their cellphone, walking in opposite directions from each other.

"Hello Cammie," Matty chirped.

"Seriously?"

"What do you want Cammie?"

"You are not going to stop, are you?"

"Cammie, we have been on the phone for less than thirty seconds and you are already pissing me the fuck off."

"Okay. Okay," Cameron sighed.

"You know what I want, Matty. Hirst is stating to get impatient and my ass is on the line."

Matty laughed.

"For a man that is, supposedly, so good in business, he has no taste when it comes to lawyers."

"Okay, Matty. Okay. I get the fucking point. I'm a shitty lawyer, but at least this time I am trying to do all I can to keep my client out of jail and a huge part of that is your fucking proposal, that we still haven't seen."

Matty sat at the desk in the living room and opened up her laptop.

"I am sending it to you right now. You have to send confirmation of receipt."

Matty listened in silence.

"I got it. Sending confirmation right now."

Matty got the confirmation.

"You have twenty-four hours to respond."

"Be serious Matty. We wait all week and you give us just twenty-four hours."

"I could withdraw the proposal and let the courts decide."

Matty could hear a printer in the background.

"Twenty-four hours, Cammie."

She ended the call and brought up the proposal on her screen.
