Davina's pov

So after me and Hayley recover from our state of shock after finding out this Kayla woman is our aunt. Kayla escorts me and my sister away to talk to us in private away from Jackson and Will.

"Okay start talking" Hayley demands once we reach the kitchen and make everyone leave so we could talk in private. "I am Kayla your aunt" Kayla replies and Hayley just rolls her eyes "yes we know but why are you just coming to us now? Why the hell were me and my sister left at some orphanage when we had you?" Hayley asks in a slightly snappy tone.

Kayla sighs and runs a hand through her hair "Hayley I understand your anger and you may think I probably abandoned you two but I loved you both so much, my beautiful nieces" she starts with watery eyes "your mother was my big sister and I was only 12 when your parents died, I wanted you to stay where you belonged but your parents wanted you both to be safe and I couldn't defy my sisters dying wish" she explains in a calm in tone but you could hear the sadness in her voice.

"Our parents are really dead?" I ask speaking up for the first time since we arrived in the kitchen. "Yes, I'm afraid so" Kayla responds causing me and Hayley to look at each other in sadness and disappointment because up until now we weren't entirely sure if our parents were alive or dead but now we know.

"What happened to them? It must've been something terrible if they wanted to send us away for our protection" Hayley questions folding her arms across her chest. "There was conflict from another pack. There was this Alpha he was obsessed with power and your mother. He loved her but not in the sweet, romantic way and he was angry when she married your father. He had a child a son, he became even more obsessed with your mother after his wife died" she explains looking angry as she explains the situation.

"One day your father made an agreement with him behind everyone's backs in hopes of settling the situation" she says "what was the agreement he made?" I ask "he promised his youngest daughter to his son" she replies making my eyes widen.

"Me?" I say quietly as I point to myself "Will?" Hayley asks and Kayla just nods. "Yes and your mother was furious with it. She never wanted to force either of you into a marriage you probably didn't want to be in" she explains "wait then how come I was promised to Jackson?" Hayley asked "that was down to your father and Jackson's parents. His grandfather was causing a ruckus in the pack and your father promised you to Jackson behind your mothers back without her permission" Kayla explains making me frown.

"Couldn't the agreement be terminated?" Hayley asks and Kayla slowly shakes her head "no, when an agreement is made under a peace treaty or an oath between two leaders of a pack there is no breaking it unless the peace treaty is violated. Your mother was furious with him for doing this to you both but he always insisted he knew what he was doing and it was for the good of the pack" Kayla explains "so our dad was basically an asshole" I retort sassily and Kayla smiles slightly.

"No your dad was a very good man but he made mistakes like everyone else does. He loved your mother and he loved you both so much, anything he did he did it for you and your mother" she responds "then why did he sell out Davina to the son of a crazy bastard?" Hayley asks making me giggle as I always find it funny when Hayley swears and I have no idea why.

"I can't fully explain why he did it but he insisted it was for the best and he just wanted to make peace" Kayla explains "and what about him promising Hayley to Jackson?" I ask "your father was good friends with Jackson's father and because of the trouble his grandfather was causing, he thought a union between Hayley and Jackson would heal the fracture between his pack and ours" Kayla explains and I just pull myself up on the kitchen counter and sit there.
