Venti's quest

Xiao and I just returned from comissions to find Venti holding a strange object, looking at people.

Venti was looking at something through a strange looking, small round telescope.

"Hey Venti." I began.

"Hey you two!" Waved Venti, "oh wow Xiao and you don't have imaginary friends." Replied Venti.

"Huh?" Asked Xiao.

"Wait that scope can see imaginary friends?" I asked, pointing at whatever Venti's holding

"Yep! Wanna take a look?" Venti asked, handing it to me.

"Sure." I replied as I took it to look around.

I walked up to see Timmie's imaginary friend to be a Ruin guard, how terrifying.

We then went to Angel's share.

Kaeya and Diluc were having drinks together with 2 other adventurers from the guild.

"Let's head inside." I replied.

"Yeah, you two should take a break after a long day out." Replied Venti.

Xiao didn't reply and just followed me inside.

Venti looked around with the scope and I went to buy them drinks.

We sat down to have refreshing dandelion wine.

"Huh? That guy named Stanley over there has an imaginary friend." Began Venti.

"Interesting, adults don't normally have imaginary friends." I replied.

"I know right!" Replied Venti as he tried to take a closer look to listen on what they're saying.

"He seems drunk." Replied Xiao, glaring at Stanley.

"He's talking to someone named Stanley, strange." Replied Venti.

"That is strange." I replied.

"I'm gonna ask him about it." Began Venti as he walked to the adventurer.

After asking, the adventurer adruptly left.

"Maybe we can ask him tomorrow, I'm still curious at who else has imaginary friends." Replied Venti.

"Boring, I'd rather do comissions with Y/N." Replied Xiao.

"Oh come on! Let's just take a quick look and you two can go do whatever you want." Replied Venti.

"Fine." Replied Xiao with his arms crossed.

We looked around, it turns out Flora's imaginary friend is a huge balloon-like flower.

Donna's imaginary friend was a fantasized version of Diluc. I almost laughed on the floor after I saw that.

Later that evening

We returned to Angel's share and Venti found Stanley again, he began to ask the adventurer about his imaginary friend.

"Stanley was the greatest adventurer." Replied Stanley, "I am not Stanley, I am just living as him." Replied Stanley sadly.

"If I can summon his spirit right now, what would you say to him?" Asked Venti.

"You could do that for me?!" Asked Stanley.

"Yes, just tell us anything." Replied Venti.

"Alright." Nodded Stanley.

We watched in surprise as Venti summoned a few light wind currents and the real adventurer Stanley appeared before the current Stanley.

They talked and the real Stanley smiled as he dissappeared with the wind.

"Well that was helpful, I didn't expect you could do that without ritual items." Replied Xiao, sort of complimenting Venti.

"Because I am Lord Barbatos." Whispered Venti/Barbatos.

"You were the one who saved me from my darkness." Replied Xiao.

"Yep, it was me." Shrugged Venti as the wind currents slowly dissappeared.

"I thank you for that, Venti." Replied Xiao, bowing a little.

"Your welcome, Xiao." Winked Venti with a smile.

We then followed Venti onto the top of the statue to hear stories of Old Monstadt and Decarabian.
