Flowers for you [SeungJin]

Chapter 22

Considering that they had stayed out until 3am, it was a miracle how everyone was awake by 7am working on less than 3 hours of sleep. By the time they had arrived at the dorm, it was already 3.30am and then they had to do their skin care routine and change because they couldn't neglect their looks or sleep in uncomfortable clothes.

Now, technically Hyunjin didn't need to be up at 7am and in fact he was planning a nap sometimes during the day while the others were still away, but he wanted to help the others however he could especially after such an enjoyable night. So here he was in doggie pajamas making short work of breakfast with Jisung and Jeongin's help since they were the most energised. The others were in various stages of wakefulness and dress.

Seungmin, being used to waking up early looked rather smart in his clothes but he was yawning and did not look fresh while he packed their daybags. Hyunjin was struck by how many sacrifices the other had done for him, including going to sleep late after clubbing when the next morning they had a schedule. The others too, they had wanted to let loose but surely they could have done that at any time. Instead, they had chosen a day when Hyunjin had wanted to relax and be with friends.

Now they were all paying the consequences but no one was complaining because it had been worth it. At least since none of them had drunk, they did not sport a hangover.

Nevertheless, Hyunjin made a bigger portion of breakfast for Seungmin and he got lunchboxes ready so that the boys could even take food with them. They were going to meet other Kingdom groups to discuss and work towards collaborations.

Truth be told Hyunjin wasn't jealous, he did however feel a pang in his chest whenever the others would leave. He felt left out. Everyone had made cool new friends, even Seungmin and Jeongin who at first had said they didn't because they were awkward around older idols. Everyone but him had new friend options. Not that he wanted options, he was quite happy with his members and his other friends but still. Perhaps he should reach out to the few genuine friends he had left although everyone was busy.

"Why so hallow Hyunjin?" Jisung asked, snickering at his intentional alliteration.

"More like Moody because of a certain Min" Jeongin commented.

"Not everything is about Seungmin you know. I'm just feeling a bit down with you always leaving" he replied. Sure, Seungmin was a big part of his life and it was getting bigger and bigger like his love, but it wasn't the only part of him.

"Anything we can do to help?" Jisung asked genuinely worried.

"Don't worry. It will pass. Your nice flowers helped enough" he teased trying to make light of the situation.

The others started filing in right after. A Yawning sweater-pawed Seungmin nearly had him burn himself with the hot frying pan. Chan intervened last minute and gave him a look that all but said 'really?'.

"Nice hickies Hyunjin. Real works of art. Someone must have spent so much time on them" Jisung snickered.

Hyunjin had of course removed the makeup before bed – that had taken quite some time – and he hadn't bothered reapplying it this morning not just because he hadn't even looked in a mirror much less had gone in the bathroom. There wasn't any use to reapply, he was staying here all day. Perhaps he'll work on some content and perhaps he'll get in contact with some other friends.

This morning he hadn't even showered; he'd gone straight to work. His hair went unbrushed and it was a mess. Overall he estimated that he looked like a mess.

He continued being teased. Seems like the others didn't learn a single thing from yesterday.

"His type must be a vampire" Minho commented.
