A/N: Today was a very busy day and I think it's best for me to write shorter chapters so today we see the beginning of the pride party saga. Is it ok with you dear readers if we get shorter anecdotes? Or is it getting boring now, dragging on too long? I was hoping to write until Hyunjin is back but if the quality is affected, I can slowly start to wrap it up and then occasionally I can write additional chapters. I have another story idea which I've been plotting (royalty AU as some of you know already) with a third potential. Feedback appreciated. I write for myself but also for you:)

Today's chapter is dedicated to @StayKimSky who upvotes and comments:) Lovely username too.

Pride is all year, though nice to have a focused month. Here we started to celebrate in June. Either way we melt.

------------

Felix was the first to bring it up as they casually clutched each other on the sofa, huddled in protection against a roaming cockroach. Mind you, the cockroach was in the bathroom but they flew didn't they?

"Felix, don't you know taekwando?" Chan asked

"Taekwando doesn't do shit against cockroaches. We need a powerful shoe. Only the shoe will prevail." Felix replied.

"Shoes are by the door of course" Hyunjin added.

"Well I guess we're stuck here then" Changbin replied. Their sofa was decided to be their island; an island they were stranded on.

That's right, it was a SoftSquad unintentional reunion. Sure two of them were basically gym bunnies and the other knew taekwando and Hyunjin thought he was quite fit from swimming, football, dancing and sex. But all that was nothing in light of the power of the cockroach.

So stuck on the sofa, their legs trembling because soft surfaces were hard to stand on for long periods of time and after playing hangman but getting lost in how many letters there actually were due to not having their phones with them, they of course got talking.

"So you know how it's June now right? You know what that means?" Felix asked.

"The start of summer? Summer solstice?" Chan answered.

"Heatwaves guaranteed?" Chang added when Felix shook his head at Chan's answered.

To Hyunjin, it was a very simple answer "Pride?"

"Exactly!" Felix rejoiced "And we haven't done anything to celebrate that you realise?"

Chan and Changbin gasped. How could they not? Each year they had known each other, in various formations since not everone joined at once, they had low key celebrated. Starting from Chan wondering with a few friends at the fringes of the Seoul Queer Culture Festival pride parade at just 14 years of age to them pooling their money to donate to charities and organisations and sneakily going into the few gay bars (not really queer bars) that they had available. One time they had gone to see CATS the musical and had a meal after at a queer owned bbq. Everything was low key, apart from the few prides they had gone, but it was always fun and there was a strong sense of comradeship and community while they empathised with each other.

With everything they had going on they forgot to celebrate. This was a big deal for them. Of course they hadn't forgotten it was pride; they had even mentioned it in conversations but organizing something had not been on the table until Felix brought it up on the sofa.

Thankfully, the others who had gone out to buy ice cream could join the conversation to plan something as they returned. First they needed to kill the cockroach though.

"Why are you having a party on the sofa? Can I join?" Asked a very confused Jisung.

"Speaking of parties bro" Changbin started but Chan and Felix shussed their roommate telling him there were more pressing issues at hand. Or on foot.
