Chapter 86

The others had of course heard but at this point that was a given. They had good ears and not just for music.

"Looking good hyung" the brat known otherwise as Jeongin greeted him as he limped slightly. He wanted to help cook breakfast but it seems like they had woken up late. One day off from cooking won't leave them hungry; Jeongin had taken his usual place by the stove of course supervised by Chan, Minho and Felix who seemed to be doing fine by their own.

"I look like a mess" Hyunjin admitted but he still felt good so that's what was important.

"I wish my mess looked as good as you baby" Jisung said, sliding up next to him at the kitchen table.

Hyunjin giggled but Felix frowned. "Listen Sungie, you're not going to butter him up. Changbin and me are going on that first double date and that's final. You can go next time"

That's right! Now that they were in between promotions – still busy but with more flexible schedules unless they had a recording – they had agreed to go somewhere with Changlix. Seungmin appeared to have regretted it as he had agreed but Hyunjin was really looking forward to it!

"That's today! Yay! I wonder where we're going" he mused and thought about all the interesting places and activities that were written on those origami. Once the couple had heard of their method of choose dates, they had insisted to do one together so the origami were going to decide their fate today. Hyunjin wondered how the strings would work.

But first things first, Hyunjin should perhaps apologise to Felix's ears if not to Felix himself.

"Ahem, Lixie?" he called the other who came over with a spatula in hand. At least it being Felix, he was almost sure that spatula wouldn't be used as a weapon. Almost. Perhaps not when he heard the next line though.

"I'm not sorry I'm dirty ...but I'm sorry for your ears"

Felix actually snorted. "Great use of lyrics. You get cheese-ier and cheese-ier every day. It's like a domino effect. What did he do to you? You sounded like an injured wolf."

"Yeah we're not in a wolfgang for that reason. But only Felix, how many injured wolves did you hear?" Jisung asked.

"None in person unless you count the various times Channie hit his toe on a corner...or other times he had people over. But on the animal channel quite a few! It was that programme you recommended. Quite the view."

Jisung recommended a lot of random programmes from dramas to animal documentaries. His random as o'clock TV spirals were legendary. One time Hyunjin had gotten up to see him avidly watch a documentary about bread in 18th Century England. The next day their kitchen was a mess. At least it wasn't a programme of say, making weapons from household items.

"Seungminnie!" Changbin called from his own room "I'm getting ready for the dateeeeeeee. Are you?"

Felix and Hyunjin burst out laughing. If Hyunjin was excited, his cute hyung was more so. You'd think he was going on a date with Seungmin. He probably wanted to bother him considering how much Seungmin bothered him usually or how affectionate he could be sometimes unexpectedly.

This date was going to be lit.

Hyunjin made a note to self to check that Seungmin didn't bring actual matches with him and that the date didn't involve say, a hot air balloon with fire. That was giving him too much temptation.
