It was good that they had a spontaneous outing because that was the last one for a while. Time went by so fast yet so slow. Every day they were busy from 9am to 2am and days just crept by but the same routine confused them. They weren't even sure which day it was without looking at their phones or calendars and with blurry eyes, it was very easy to get confused.

They were happy to be working together as eight everyday but they couldn't enjoy it. The minute they were free, they were asleep and the minute they were awake they had something or another to do.

Hyunjin had been ready for this and he preferred it to being bored but he couldn't but feel for the others who hadn't had a proper break since...well since Jisung took his own break and the others? Probably since before they joined the company. Especially this past year had been crazy busy with more things added on their plate nearly every day.

Being more energised then them he tried to take on more chores and cooking tasks than the others and he used up his little money to buy them treats but he had to be sneaky about it or they wouldn't let him so sometimes he just left things in the studios for the others to find and he cooked them a big meal but assured them it hadn't taken him so long or that he had used pre-made stuff which wasn't the case on either account.

Despite not getting energy from crowds, he got energy from his rest and was motivated to show a better side of him more than ever.

Still...

Sometimes certain days creep on you slowly that you can feel them coming. Other times they just slam in you and it wasn't even the good kind of slamming it; it was like a door to your face. That's how Hyunjin woke up that morning knowing that this was going to be a bad day. He was sad and full of emotions.

They weren't necessarily new emotions and thoughts that filled him. They were ever present but today they decided to knock on his door really obnoxiously to the point where he had to open up that door for them, let them in and think about what they had to say –ideally rationally – or else they would shout even louder and he couldn't ever be rid of them.

Silent tears streamed his face as he hugged the pillow harder. He had to get up and make breakfast yet he just couldn't. All the energy he had was suddenly missing, seeping out of invisible holes. He wiggled forward, closer to the wall and farther than Seungmin and just stayed there.

Their schedule was full but his resolve to get up was empty.

He could see the problem and it was yet another pebble in the jar of issues he had to deal with.

He was conflicted if his presence would harm their reputation with the different publics.

He was worried he couldn't take negative comments.

He was angry that his plan to have an all-day scene to cleanse the other from his memory was postponed once again. Then he was disappointed in himself that he thought of friend time as something hindering their sex life.

He was scared he couldn't catch up with the others and that they had moved on beyond him; too much different experiences further dividing the sea between them until he became an island in the middle of it.

He was mortified that something private went so public and that it got others involved.

He was frustrated at his inability to keep it cool.
