A/N: Next chapter is spicy. This story is now around 123k.

Hyunjin wasn't walking, he was levitating. It was around 2am and he had taken a taxi home (paid by Seungmin). They had gone for a late night snack because they had burned a lot of calories and then They had stargazed for a while (not only in each other's eyes).

Hyunjin wished to have gone on that hotel trip that night but they hadn't even discussed it in detail. It was still nice having this mellow feeling in his heart. Everything seemed tinted in yellow and bright. Perhaps it was the city's light pollution; perhaps it was his rose-tinted glassed (but yellow).

Going in he was careful not to make any noise but that was all for nothing when Kkami came barking in happiness (or he hoped it was happiness at least).

"Shhh you'll wake them up" he whispered while he petted his dog.

"Ahem. He doesn't need to wake us up. The worry that someone kidnapped or killed you made us stay up." Mr. Kim said.

Sharply looking up he saw two adults in their dressing gowns looking at him.

Thinking quickly, he got his phone out and sure enough...15 missed calls from the two adults and Chan and Changbin and Jisung and 22 messages from probably everyone in the top 15 people in his life.

He hadn't checked his phone even once after meeting Seungmin yesterday.

"Oh. I forgot to text didn't I? I am so so sorry! Both for not letting you know and for being late. It's just, we were having fun and lost track of time." he explained while he bowed more than 90 degrees. Stretching exercises had their uses.

"You're a grown adult you can stay out late but we were worried and would have appreciated the courtesy of not having to wonder about every possible scenario. Who knows, maybe someone recognised you."

If they had, their careers would either be over or they will be accused of public indecency even though what they did was mild at best.

"I'll try not to do it next time, promise"

"Right, you do that. Are you sleepy or would you like some tea?" Seungmin's mother asked.

"I'm not sleepy, tea would be lovely and again I am so sorry"

"Stop apologising. You already have, now show us with your actions and go and make us tea" Ms. Kim commanded.

He smiled then realised they couldn't actually see since he hadn't had time to remove his mask from outside. So removed it and turned to the kitchen to boil some water and select the tea mixes the other two adults liked.

They sat at the table and he handed the hot teas over.

Mr. Kim frowned "Why is your mouth all red?"

'Oh my god please save me. Did we kiss that long?' Hyunjin wondered. And they had from sunset to bright stars.

"Uhm, I have an oral fix...I tend to bite my lips when I get distracted. I'll put on some lip balm before bed"

He really was bad at hiding stuff wasn't he? Thankfully, they had enough self-restraint to not pry.

---------------------

Meanwhile, Seungmin was ambushed by one worried wolf and a disgruntled bunny. He guessed that Minho was dragged into this because he was his roommate and well, Chan was in hyper-parent mode it seemed. Chan could probably give his chill parents lessons in 'how to fret over your children while still being enormously productive'.

"Any reason why you didn't text us you'll be late? Be thankful that the managers weren't here today" Chan asked.

Their managers sometimes checked in on them during random hours to see they were not creating trouble which meant they would have to behave and also move things around (mainly each sleeping in their own bed unless they played the cuddly card all evening to have an excuse).
