A/N: Shortest chapter but things are moving. Excited?

It was a few days after the most brilliant child's parents day and things were finally calming down. That isn't to say they were free, far from it, but they were working on their own time which usually meant all the time trying to finish pre-comeback work but at least they could take a break when they needed.

Chan had convinced the staff to let Hyunjin come back to the dorm, at least during certain days since he needed to contribute at well. So Hyunjin was staying at there from Monday to Wednesday, very low key to not garner attention, and then leaving from Thursday although he would of course self-practice and keep in contact for any feedback.

Chan was perhaps regretting his great conviction skills.

"'Chan has more mens than he has brains" Minho commented. He even broke language rules and to give a plural to the plural, to show just how many men Chan had. Chan would say it wasn't that many because he rarely saw them anyway and he was sort of in the process of committing to one again. Just one.

"But he has a lot of brains cause he's a genius" Hyunjin defended, bless him "Which means he had a lot of men! More than he has brains and that's a lot!" he gasped. Never mind. No blessing of Hyunjin in his household.

The three roommates were bonding having missed Hyunjin's presence of course at the expense of their old roommate. They weren't slut-shaming. God knows none of them had any foot to stand on, on that. They were however dissing him in jest but with a hint of truth for not being able to commit to one person (despite being monogamous). Hyunjin and Seungmin especially had no right to joke about commitment.

"His taste is very questionable too. Apart from Younghyun-hyung of course. You've been spending an awful lot of time with him...anything you want to share hyung?" Seungmin asked teasingly.

"Not particularly at the moment, no" Chan replied, feigning disinterest while he continued to fail at the crossword.

"Thankfully we made it clear that he shouldn't sleep with the competition or their staff. Or he'd have climber Minhyuk-hyung like a..."Minho snickered.

"Okay" Chan said a bit irritated "Maybe it's not such a good idea to have you three as roommates" he said.

Minho was quite enthusiastic about that statement and that was weird, until he spoke.

"Oh great can I share with Sungie?"

Over Chan's exhausted and tired body and even then, he'll turn into a vampire and continue fighting the good cause.

"Never mind, please carry on being roommates" Chan instructed.

But just then, Jisung happened to come to the living room and he pouted. "Why can they share and not us?"

"Because you're chaotic and he's evil" Chan replied without waiting one second. He looked at Jisung for 'chaotic' and at Minho for 'evil'.

"And Seungmin isn't evil?" Jisung asked at the same time that Minho asked whether Hyunjin wasn't chaotic or not.

"Hyunjin balances the evil and Seungmin balances the chaos" Chan replied. Now if only he was less clumsy and more balanced, it would have him many trips.

"Well in that case I can move to Jisung's room so they can keep on being a see-saw" Minho said.

"NO" Jeongin shouted from his room.

"No" Chan said "We can't risk anymore headboard incidents. I want to actually have the option of sleeping"

Whenever sleep was brought up, it was a deal breaker. The others respected Chan too much so on the rare occasion he mentioned sleep, they dropped the argument. They did so this time as well and they all went back to brainstorming b-side concepts, lyrics and composition.

The peace of course, lasted all of 5 minutes. Hyunjin was sitting on the armchair twirling his pen with the yellow journal Seungmin had given him open in his lap.

Suddenly, bombshell Jisung (and by that he mean he was an actual bomb dropping) bounced on him.

"Hey, move your flat ass won't you. I wanna sit here" Jisung exclaimed.

Hyunjin gasped. "Flat ass??? Seungminnie can you take Jisung to the Han river please?"

From there, it was a cascade of small, petty insults to each other.

Hyunjin was just thankful he could sit normally without his ass stinging.

Chan put them on timeout and actually kicked them out of the apartment until they resolved it. In the corridor of their floor, the two sat down on the floor and hashed things out as they were taught.

"I don't like when you body-shame me. To you it may be a joke or a saying but it feeds my insecurities" Hyunjin admitted, always being the more emotional – thus more emotionally in-tune- one.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't even think about that. I don't like when you make Seungminnie fight your battles"

That stung a little. He didn't think the other would have picked up on that.

"Ah. I'm sorry. I'm actually working on that. Like a lot. You have no idea how hard I'm trying to be on my own two feet but that doesn't mean I won't request Seungmin's help or that he won't come to my rescue. He's a great defender after all and I may need his help. But he's not my only option; there's me as well and you guys. But thank you for drawing my attention to my behaviour. I didn't even realise."

And that was that. Jisung wished him luck and offered to help find someone else should he need to talk. They both knew he wasn't the best option at least.

That small incident, Jisung would be pleased to know (hence why Hyunjin did not tell him" inspired him.

Their days were a bit more flexible now. Definitely much more than during comeback season.

So he was going to cash in one of those hangout origami and the way that he was going to do it: cash in that friend date too.

The origami he grabbed was a cute pastel one shaped like a dinosaur, very much like the ones they had spend an afternoon on. Slowly, he opened it.

'Sunset view at Gwanghwamun Square'

Interesting. Next up, he looked up a tutorial on how to make heart shaped origami with space for a message. He had seen it once and thought he'll be in need of it in the future, to woo his crush. Turns out...he did.

He wrote 'friend date Thursday?' and then drabbed the dinosaur and placed them together on Seungmin's bed.

He meant to tell the other about them just in case they ended up being squished but they got distracted with kissing in the bathroom.

Felix shouted that food was ready.

Jisung, once they were out presented to them said food and commented that "Here's some actual food, seeing as you were too busy eating something else"

If only Jisung knew how good Seungmin was at eating both his mouth and his ass.

Once Seungmin did have time to open the heart and check which of his origami it was, he smiled. It was Wednesday, Hyunjin's last night of the week sleeping at the dorm. They were of course sharing the bed.

"Hey Hyunjin. Let's actually go out on that date yeah" he whispered. Hyunjin just nodded to confirm.

None of them had asked 'let me take you out on a date'. They had both suggested to go on one. Together. No dynamics but friendship.
