I hope you enjoyyyy!!!••••••••
I shuddered at the phone call that Professor Davis had allowed Giorgi and I to eavesdrop on, and my stomach churned when I sat back and thought about how often they must've talked. Cooper was on first-name-basis with my professor. Granted Mr. Davis and I weren't just teacher-and-student to each other, I had never thought about calling him by his first name. I hadn't felt that we were that close yet.
"Soon," Giorgi scoffed, rubbing my inner thigh with his thumb as my right leg rested over his left. "Cooper was sentenced five years. After fucking around with a guard, that 'early release for good behavior shit' is out the window. I mean, you wrote the guard's name down to report her, right?"
Professor Davis nodded. "Yes, but we shouldn't get our hopes up about my report. It's very possible that the only consequence that comes from my report is the guard getting fired. Cooper could get away with good behavior still if the person in charge of punishing inmates for stuff like this favors him."
I frowned and tears filled my eyes as I imagined Cooper's eyes meeting mine upon his coming back to school. I began trembling while I remembered how he'd practically kidnapped me for a little over a month and I feared that he'd do it again. I wondered if he was bigger than Giorgi now, what with all that time he had to work out.
Suddenly, my fiancé's hand tightening around my shaking leg had pulled me out of my thoughts, and upon looking over his body, I reminded myself that no matter how much bigger Cooper got, Giorgi would never give Cooper the satisfaction of having even a single chance to be alone with me.
"Cam, relax. You're okay," Giorgi said softly. "He's not gonna find us. He's not gonna hurt you ever again."
"I'll make sure of that," Professor Davis said seriously. "Please know that just because I answer Cooper's phone calls does not mean that I like or side with him at all. I'm merely a listening ear, studying his psychopathy as he shares his past and present stories with me... I hope you think of me as more of a friend to you than just a listening ear, though. When I said I favored you, I meant that. You are different from any other students I've had, and I truly prefer talking to you about more than just your homework."
My cheeks warmed as my professor confessed his feelings about me, and I nodded when he asked me if I thought I could trust him. And the fact that he asked if I thought I could, instead of if I did already made me feel like I would have an easier time trusting him. He returned the nod and said something about Giorgi and I leaving sooner than later.
"Somewhere far or just anywhere where he couldn't track you down. Thanksgiving is around the corner, isn't it?"
"Think so, yeah," Giorgi and I mumbled.
"Leave the state for a while. A month or two, at least," Professor Davis said softly. "Don't worry about your classes. I'll talk to your teachers and set up something for you both so that you can keep up with your work, alright?"
"But Corgi," I mewled, pouting at my fiancé. "I can't leave her for more than a week. You remember how much I worried in Paris."
"We'll bring her with us," Giorgi said, running his hand further up my thigh in a slow, soothing manner.
"Well, what about Yuri? Holidays are when his dad gets super busy and has to go in earlier for work," I mentioned.
