JK's POV

Gwangalli beach was just a 30-minute drive from the hotel. My dad let me take his car with a stern look in his eyes saying, "Drive safely." Of course, I said I will. I've never been a reckless driver. It was really just that one time when the alcohol got the best of me. But with Rozie with me, the more reason that I should be extra careful. Just as I promised in her sleep, she will always be safe so long as she's with me.

The moment I turned the engine alive, a part of my soul was brought to life as well. I sure missed the feel of the steering wheel in my hands. I know I shouldn't be driving without my license, but I'm sober as a judge. With the windows down and the salty breeze of air blowing our hair away, I couldn't help but feel as if we were running free and leaving it all behind, just like the music playing in the background.

Run free, this song has been on my playlist for so long. One of my go-to tracks during my long drives to Busan. The upbeat vibe was what got me hooked. I've been listening to a lot of genres lately, trying to find some inspiration for my mixtape. I've been into this track longer than I expect I would and I guess that's how I want my songs to be like, easy to listen to and quite remarkable. I want the entire album to showcase the different colors of me, and this song was definitely bringing out a couple of my brighter shades.

I never really paid attention to the lyrics though until just now.

I still remember,

loving the danger.

You set me on fire.

when I'm by your side.

You taking me higher.

I follow you down if we go down.

Now you say you wanna get away.

You wanna take me all the way.

Might get burned if you get too closer to the sun.

We can burn together.

Fading into one another.

Isn't it funny how one song can give you several meanings in totally different times? What used to be just some music to keep me awake on my trip back home, now sums up the feelings I have for the person sitting right next to me.

Her lips were filled with so much excitement when the sight of the beach came into view. The strands of her long, brown hair gave frequent kisses to her beautiful eyes and cheeks.

"Oh, God." Her happy hands pressed onto the car's window sill as she popped her head out and joyfully breathed the ocean winds.

It was a good thing she got back seated not long after. It was quite hard to focus when I knew my eyes would always choose to look at her rather than the road up ahead. I didn't even mind paying attention to the crystal clear waters on her side of the window. I already can't get enough of how spectacular she appears as the afternoon sun shines upon her face. I can stare at this lovely view for the rest of my life. If I wasn't driving, I would've taken my camera out and kept this moment forever.

She turned her head at me, her hair still a bit messy from the gust of the strong wind. "I'm so in love right now." She happily cried out.

I smiled almost instantly. I know for a fact that she's referring to the picturesque stretch of the beach but heck, I replied anyway, "Me too. You have no idea."
