Chapter 22

EMERY GRIFFIN

I woke up to someone knocking on the door. I looked at the clock seeing it's twelve in the afternoon.

Damn it.

I wasn't trying to fall asleep. I heard the knocked again and got out of bed walking to the door opening it as a yawn escaped my mouth.

"What happened." I asked mid yawn. "You just waking up?" A kid asked me as I gave her a nod. "I took a nap." I told her. "Well um your being called downstairs." She told me as I gave her a nod.

"Thank you for telling me." I told her as she gave me a nod and walked off as I followed her still tired.

Last I remember I was crying than that was it. I must've fell asleep.

"Their you are." Dad said as I walked over giving him a side hug. "Here I am." I told him. "Are you ready for today?" He asked me. "How long was I asleep for?" I asked him. I don't remember having plans with dad today. "Only a couple hours dear." Euphemia told me as I gave her a nod.

"What's today?" I asked him. "Me and you fishing." He said excited. "Dad I'm allergic to fish." I told him as he stayed quiet. "Well than scratch that we're going to get a dog." He told me.

"I'm also allergic to dogs." I told him. This is just awkward now. "It's fine dad we don't have to do nothing." I told him. "Nonsense we're going to do something. How about we go play outside in the snow?" He said.

"The cold hurts my hand." I told him. "It hurts everyone's." Professor Black said. "Yeah well technically I broke this hand so it hurts even more." I told him. "Why do you always insist on arguing with her Pads?" Professor Lupin said.

"How about we go out-We don't have to do nothing dad." I told him. "Theirs gotta be something you want to do?" He said. "I'm perfectly fine doing nothing." I told him.

He let out a sigh. "We do got to get your hand checked out though." He said as I gave him a nod. "Yeah my hand has been hurting since yesterday." I told him.

"Why didn't you tell me I could've taken you yesterday." He told me as I shrugged my shoulders. "Go get your sweater and shoes so I can take you." Dad said as I gave him a nod.

Hopefully they say I can still play.

I grabbed a nice warm sweater and my shoes and walked out my room shutting the door than putting my shoes on.

I walked downstairs over to dad. "Ready." I told him as he gave me a nod. "Okay. Lily we will be back in a bit." Dad said.
