Jungkook was Jimin's junior in college. The man was known for his bad boy personality - having tattoos and piercings, being disrespectful and often getting into fights.

That all soon changed when Jimin's best friend started dating Jungkook's brother. That's when Jungkook first noticed the boy. Jungkook hated him. Why? Because Jimin made his heart beat fast every time and he hated that feeling. But what he hated the most was seeing the look of disappointment in the boy's eyes whenever Jungkook said or did anything slightly immoral. And so he started changing himself just to receive the look of approval from Jimin. Soon they became friends.

Two years into their friendship, Jungkook asks Jimin out and they have been dating ever since then, soon changing and continuing their relationship as boyfriends.

After college, they both live together, both working in decent companies. They were very much in love.

"I will miss you Koo..." Jimin pouts as he drops Jungkook off at the Airport

Jungkook was being sent to the USA for a 6 month project trip from his company

"I'll miss you too... 6 months will go in a flash.... I promise..." Jungkook sighs as he softly kisses Jimin's forehead "....please eat on time... remember to rest... and don't forget to call me when you go out and come in... no matter the time difference..." Jungkook says, his eyes worrying about his tiny boyfriend

It brought a smile to Jimin's lips

"I promise... you too should do the same..."

Soon, 6 months turned into 1 year and then 2. And why did that happen? Because the first month Jungkook landed in the states, the pandemic hit and none of the projects could even be started. And he wasn't allowed to go back home till he completed them.

It was disappointing to both of them but they held their own in front of the camera while they video called and behind it, both shed tears of loneliness and longingness

Jimin was getting worried, it's been almost two days since he last talked to Jungkook. The man's phone was unreachable

Jimin returns home tired and is surprised to see Jungkook on their bed. Jimin ignores him thinking he is just imagining things when suddenly he finds himself being trapped between the wall and Jungkook.

"Should I punish you for ignoring me? I have been traveling for almost 48 hours ..." Jungkook smirks

Jimin's eyes widen as reality strikes him "...K-Koo?"

"....in the flesh, babe" Jungkook smirks

Jimin immediately burst out crying as he tightly hugs the man

"I missed you so much!"

Jungkook hugs Jimin back, his smirk changing into a sweet smile

"I missed you too"

They cuddle together as they both sleep

Jungkook spoons Jimin and drags his fingertips across Jimin's unclothed arms, goosebumps appear across Jimin's skin. It's been 2 years since they last touched each other like this. Jimin gasps when the man digs his hands underneath his neck and turns the boy towards him and hugs him tighter

"I missed this..." Jungkook whispers against Jimin's forehead

"Me too.." Jimin smiles sighing into Jungkook's chest "I love you"

"I love you too"

Few hours later - 4AM

Jimin frowns when he sees there is no one beside him. Jungkook has never woken up earlier than him, in all his years of knowing the man. Was he just dreaming that Jungkook was here?

Jimin picks up his phone to call the man when he sees a sticky note on it

Come to the balcony love

Jimin goes to see their rooftop balcony was decorated in candle lights and flowers and balloons. Jungkook standing in the midst of it

Jungkook's eyes lit up when he sees the boy

"You are finally here..." Jungkook says nervously

"What's all this?" Jimin is confused

Jungkook softly holds Jimin's hands and guides him to sit on the chair at center of the balcony

"I'm not good with words so I hope you get what I wanna say through this song...."
