[134] COLD HUSBAND - MAR 20 2024

Jungkook doesn't believe in love and believes it is just another word for lust. Naturally, he never found anyone attractive nor did he find anyone interesting enough to give his attention to, that was till he met Jimin, his brother's fiancée's brother. Jungkook couldn't help but gawk at the boy but he couldn't understand his own emotions or what he was feeling and often had a cold stern look on his face whenever Jimin was around.

He doesn't understand the tingling feeling in his tummy when Jimin smiles, the anxiety he feels when he hears that Jimin had sprained his feet or the jealousy he feels when Jimin is hugged by Taehyung, Jimin's best friend. For now, Jungkook assumes its because he doesn't like Jimin's bubbly nature. To distract himself from thinking about Jimin, he starts dating the girls that were often asking him out - those relationships didn't last long because he didn't like them and he often refused to touch them - not even hold hands while crossing a busy street.

Jungkook doesn't like the feeling - his heart picking up pace whenever he thought of Jimin. Yes, it's because I hate him, that's it.

This went on for about 3 years. Jimin was never able to make a decent conversation with his brother in law's brother and that often made the boy upset. Jimin was a friendly guy, a family man and not being able to connect with Jungkook was not sitting well with him. Jimin often tried to include Jungkook in family activities. Jungkook joined but wouldn't interact with Jimin

Jungkook's family was observing them though, they saw how Jungkook's eyes would light up whenever Jimin was in the vicinity even though the man had an emotionless face.

The families decide to get the two married. They felt like Jimin would be the one to break Jungkook's coldness - they could already see that happening since 3 years- Jungkook was being more attentive to his family, especially when Jimin was around. No matter how much he denies, they could see Jungkook was in love with the boy. Jungkook just had to accept it.

Jimin was happy to marry into the Jeon family and be closer to his brother. Jimin knew Jungkook could never be forced to marry and so he assumed Jungkook at least considered him as family

Jimin tries his best to adjust to Jungkook's nature. There was really nothing to adjust to. Jungkook just didn't talk to him much, other than that Jimin was actually living his life the way he used to.

Even before Jimin would need anything, Jungkook would have already gotten it for him with the excuse that his mom told him or Jimin's brother told him to get it. But when Jimin goes to thank either of them, the two had no clue what Jimin was talking about. Jimin understood that Jungkook was the one who bought him things but wasn't ready to acknowledge his acts.

Jimin would spend his time with Jungkook telling the man about his day at work and ask about Jungkook's as well. Usually Jungkook would just hum as he worked on his laptop but today Jungkook got angry, he didn't have time to listen to the boy

"Can you just be quiet for once? Why do you ask me everyday if I am okay? Can't you see I am fine.. and please.. I don't want to listen to your stupid friend making a stupid joke at work... I'm not interested!" Jungkook says walking away with his laptop

It really hurt Jimin that Jungkook blasted at him like that. In the following days, Jimin kept his blabbering to a minimum. Jungkook was getting irritated now at the fact that Jimin wasn't talking to him much. Actually listening to Jimin's talkings and giggles were Jungkook's favorite pastime but being a slow light bulb he still failed to realize that he was in love with Jimin and that he was just jealous when Jimin mentioned Taehyung in his conversation

For the past few days , Jungkook was really stressed. A big project was lined up and if he got the deal then that could mean a big promotion. He couldn't concentrate and wasn't eating properly

Jimin couldn't stand Jungkook's tension and unhealthy lifestyle

"...Please let me take care of you ... I won't ask anything in return... I just want you to be happy and healthy" Jimin says holding a spoonful of food to Jungkook's lips as he worked

Jungkook looks at the boy, his eyes showing gratefulness to Jimin

I don't deserve him

After Jimin feeds him a spoonful, Jungkook takes the spoon from Jimin and says that he will eat it himself and tells Jimin to go sleep

It hurts Jimin that though he begged Jungkook to let him stay and take care of Jungkook, the man didn't allow

Does Jungkook hate me that much?

After an hour of working, Jungkook enters his room and sees Jimin crying into the pillow

"Jimin?!"

Jungkook rushes to the boy and brings Jimin to sit up

"...why?" Jungkook wipes Jimin's tears softly. It was the first time he was seeing Jimin cry and it hurt, it hurt like a beach

"...do you really hate me so much? Dont I deserve some love?" Jimin starts crying again, deeply hurt by Jungkook's mannerisms

Jungkook stares at the boy shocked that Jimin was hurting because of him. Jungkook hadn't understood that his actions were hurting his husband

"Please don't cry..." Jungkook wipes the boy's tears "...especially because of someone like me..."

Jungkook hugs him and let's the boy cry on his chest. Jimin letting out louder sobs due to the unexpected warmth and comfort from his cold husband

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt you... I have always been like this... never understanding people's feelings...I never cared about anyone.... till you..." Jungkook pulls away from the hug and makes Jimin look at him " ..you made me feel a lot of emotions... it was confusing for me... it was new... it made me anxious, nervous, angry, sad but above all it gave me happiness too.... I couldn't understand why and I took out my frustrations on you... I didn't give you my time... I was cold towards you by default..." Jungkook wipes the boy's tears "...I know you won't believe me when I say this but..." Jungkook cups the boy's face "...I love you... I am so happy that you are my husband... I am so proud of you... and so lucky to have you in my life.." Jungkook's eyes glistened ".... if you could forgive me... please give me a chance to prove how much I was holding back... let me show you how much you mean to me..." Jungkook kisses the boy's tears softly

"Then kiss me..." Jimin says "...kiss me like the oxygen you need..."

Jungkook leans forward, his hot breath tingling Jimin's lips

"Not until you forgive me..."

Jimin pouts "This is blackmail"

Jungkook chuckles "No..... I respect you... I want to do this right this time.... I dont want to lose you nor make you insecure about us... I admit it was my mistake and I don't want to make more mistakes... I want you to see that I do care about you as much as you do... I am also now accepting the fact that the emotions I held for you were love... let me enjoy those moments with you..."

From the next day, it was like the house was light up and darkness flew away. Jungkook was loving and caring and taking Jimin out on dates. He didn't hold back on what he wanted to say and learned to enjoy his time with his husband. Jimin had no doubts that Jungkook's words were true. He could feel the man's love for him.

"I know you love me... I am very happy..." Jimin says hugging Jungkook from behind

Jungkook doesn't waste much time in turning around, he was already pulling Jimin into a passionate kiss

"I love you..." Jungkook says resting his head against Jimin's forehead

"I love you too"
